Going through the gears now, and it's brilliant to see. Kid is class on the ball, seems to be getting quicker, brave in the block, reads passes so well to nick them.

If he keeps up this progression he's going to be a truly Elite LB

In contrast to the Trips/BDB combo of the last couple of years, we've basically swapped the flanks over where Tino at RB should be ready with the no-nonsense defence while this absolute star can help us progress from the back.

Getting ahead of myself but they could be perfectly complimentary to each other for both us and England for the next decade.

Still needs a song

He always runs while others walk
He acts while other men just talk
He looks at this world, and wants it all
So he strikes, like Lewis Hall

He knows the meaning of success
His needs are more, so he gives less
They call him the winner who takes all
And he strikes, like Lewis Hall

Any woman he wants, he'll get
He will break any heart without regret

His days of asking are all gone
His fight goes on and on and on
But he thinks that the fight is worth it all
So he strikes, like Lewis Hall

After about ten paragraphs you get some decent quotes from him.

Lads, he's a Ben Arfa fan

Interesting that he says he arrived expecting to play a lot more last season. Sounds like he's done really well to fight through that difficult period last season.

One does not simply walk into an Eddie Howe team.

He does say he can play in midfield, but he does say a fair bit more than that and I would be inclined to agree with him.

“I feel I could play in midfield if the manager wanted me to,” Hall says. “I did in pre-season but as a career I feel I have more ability at left-back then in midfield. The way we play at Newcastle really suits my game. The full-backs are really involved. I get loads of the ball in good areas. I like to get forward, so when I am building from the back and getting into the final third, I like to do that and create chances.”
