Savinho has 1 PL G/A all season. Was almost sold in Jan.  He was MOTM.  that’s on Howe and Hall.  This was a game too far for Hall and Trippier legs wise. 

 

 

 

Not having that. Nunes being given licence to double up on Hall - unchecked by Barnes - was the issue.

Nonsense to suggest Hall’s legs went à la Trippier.

Hall struggled vs Savinho 1v1. Savinho is a good dribbler so that can happen but on his best day Hall nullifies him more.

he got the best of Savinho 1v1 more often than not, it’s just that they were so relentless in creating that 1v1 that volume dictated Hall got beaten a few times.

Conspiracy theorist me thinking that Pep set up tactics to deliberate target Hall to see how he coped defensively, knowing how good he is on the ball, before considering a big bid in the summer....
