gbandit
Really don’t think there’s much between these two sides, they deserve their wins of course but we should have scored at least one in the home fixture and we’ve been let down tonight by a very poor finish from Jow and an all round bad performance from Trippier. 2-0 doesn’t really do us justice tonight

They've been very good all season we've just been blind to it. The Bayern defeat at the weekend was the first game they've lost in the league in 2023. BShearer
normally we wouldnt have faced a group like this. United and Arsenal and City could have got Milan from Pot 3 who they got instead? Copenhagen, PSV, Zvezda. levels below Milan. dont even get me started on the Carabao draw lol.
bobbydazzla
Divn’t stress, Champs League was nowt more than an adventure and learning experience this season More important that we keep getting back into it season after season We’re having an injury / gambling ban nightmare, worse than even most pessimists could have predicted, but we’re still doing OK on the domestic front and that’s what matters this term Edited November 7, 2023 by bobbydazzla

Aye. Should be amongst the first names on the team sheet going forward really. Stunningly good

Billy Warthog
Ah well. Like others have said, these are early days for us. The more we have these kinds of games, the more we learn from them. Amazing that we're here at all. Onto Bournemouth then, much to play for.

We risk falling away on every front at this rate. Yep, best start soaking those sheets!
Scoot
Should have equalised through Joelinton but didn't. Turning point that. That and the fact we have 8 first team players unavailable. Never mind, learning curve for us.

jonny1403
1 minute ago, Stifler said: Eh? They have fucking fouled their way to 2 wins. The ball bounced horribly multiple times in their favour tonight for their 1st. They have played us when we have had an end of the season injury list in October/November. Everyone reasonable thinks even though we were poor in the home game, we should have got a point. If we had a stronger ref in both games, and had even some of our players back, then Dortmund would be out tonight, and fighting Milan for a shit off finale. They have been absolutely nothing special, and if we played them in the Premier League, we wouldn’t be thinking that we were playing a team who would be competing to finish in the top 6. They have pressed the hell out of us tonight and we couldn't cope with it. Hammered us on the counter both home and away. They foul a lot but the idea that that was the reason they won is laughable

LiquidAK
Given the second half in both games, massively annoying that we've not laid a glove on these. They're better than us, but not by much

Pilko
Poor performance but we really should have been level with Joelinton's header. Bury that and we might then get the momentum to get a point or a win. Over the course of two games absolutely nowt dropped for us and always seemed to for them, think we were unlucky in the home tie and also there at times too. Just a bit overstretched and tired bodies. Get to Bournemouth and then wrap the buggers in cotton wool for a fortnight.
Willow
Nevermind, without the injuries we'd have had such a better chance They're an excellent team. Onto the next one lads!
Aiston
Was always going to be difficult to get anything tonight. Disappointed in 2-3 players performances though.
Pixelphish
I think Isak alone playing both the fixtures against them completely changes things. Maybe a really obvious thing to say but we really missed his qualities.
The College Dropout
They’ve had the edge on us again in all departments. with our thin squad we needed to be at least level at the hour mark. After that their squad depth helped them ease over the line.
Yorkie
Really disappointing but just got to say fair play to Dortmund. They've had our number both home and away. PSG next. We had their pants down at SJP so who knows, maybe we can get a bit more out of them.
