Eddie on Big Willie: "I thought his performance was strong. He gave added attributes to our team with his pace, strength and running power. Really pleased with his all-round play. He's got some rough edges but that versatility and flexibility will be important."

I'll get heat for this comment but i don't remember collymore , His performance reminded me more on a young rooney at everton not in the forward sense, But with  his control, Strength and power to block people getting the ball off him...I'm not saying he'll be like rooney if he did then Sir Eddie and more trust from alot of our fanbase

Collymore was an English version of fat Ronaldo, obviously not as good but still a very good striker in his own right. The comparison with Osula is very good, just found this:

Fast strong and direct and clearly likes ruffling a few feathers. Yes he’s a bit raw but he definitely causes problems and he’s got a decent turn on him in tight spaces. Looks like a decent option to get more minutes in games for say 20 mins or so as his pace and direct running is a real threat.

Only one way he's going to improve and that's by getting minutes into his legs. I can understand the hesitation at throwing him on from the start but I think we do need to see more of him off the bench if possible. It seems like every match until the end of the season is a big game though and each one is really important. Progressing nicely in both cups and doing well in the league but the pressure is building as it always does at this time of year. Really need a top 5 finish tbh and there's no slack games for the rest of the season now.

Thinking the chaos he could bring from the bench could turn a few games and offer a different threat on the right or as a target man up top with Isak playing just behind him or something daft like that. Just throw him on with a completely different plan and let him play

I thought he was excellent. If he was trying to do too much or snatching at things, I think it's probably because he gets so few minutes to shine. Showed so many positives out there.

No reason he can’t get 20 mins to so at the end of a match either RW or up front. His pace alone is enough to cause a team real worry.

I remember someone compared him to Collymore previously.

Interestingly he said this today ...

I was going to say a young Paulo Wanchope but Collymore is a good shout. I don’t remember Collymore being so good in tight spaces on the dribble, more rangey on the counter type but I was young.

I don’t remember Collymore being that fast over longer distances.

He’s fucking rapid, isn’t he? I’d guess he is one of the quickest at the club along with Gordon and Willock?

Sandro too.

Think Osula will definitely get a goal soon where he just catches out a defender or keeper as he’s quicker than they think. Almost did against Bromley I think.

He still looks very raw and has a lot to learn but he's definitely got something about him to become a useful player. Physically he already looks very good and has shown glimpses of good technical ability, the first look in the build up for Wilson's goal was brilliant, he just needs to continue working on that and some decision making but with good coaching I think he will. He doesn't look 100% in control of his limbs at times though

I think Sandro is fast as fuck for a centre mid. Not winger/forward type pace, though.

He is our new starting right side forward next season, Eddie will get him bedded in for the rest of this season then next he will hit the ground running, just like Hall.

I'm really excited to see what he can do once given a run in the team.

Collymore was a talent (Martyn Tyler shouting his name as he closed in still haunts). I can see the similarities, be interesting to see how he develops.

Lets hope he develops in to Collymore in the start of his Liverpool career and not Stan the Fireman player 😅

Thought he was a real + point of last night along with Willock. You want these players to make their mark and stake a claim when given their chance.

Showed he could be an option for the RW behind Murphy until the summer.

Influenced the game in a positive way yesterday even if it is against League 1 opposition. Without digging Miggy out too much, he likes to take his man on which puts us on the front foot.
