Imagine actually stating that a team that just won the title and signed Van Dijk and Salah to new deals at their age ... is not in win now mode.

Because they signed two young players, one of whom was one of the best left backs in the league, and the other who was one of the best players in Germany.

So incredibly clueless.

If the right move doesn’t materialise? What a fucking weird way to put it, he won’t be moving because his owner won’t sell him for anything less than a ransom and because of that he can’t get a top contract

I can see it happening.

One season in Europe with Palace, if they don't get kicked out, and then leave on a free and get a huge contract for it.

Will likely be looking for a decent pay day this summer knowing he has that option in a year's time.

Will be very surprised if we are still in for him.

My only observations would be that if Liverpool wanted him AND if Guehi wanted the move to Liverpool then it would probably have already have happened by now?

I'm not that arsed either way but it's an odd one and the fact he's worth 0 in 12 months time means something will probably happen with him after June 30th

haha spot on and yet Parish risks losing him for nowt next summer because he’s playing “hard ball”

Daft question, or is it? What's the crack if a player signs for a team with a sell on clause and then, subsequently, runs their contract down and leaves for nowt?

Previous club in the mud?

I'd imagine so, unless there's a clause within a clause. Clauseception, homes

Aye, I was thinking that. Both clubs get fuck all. Unless there's some clause whereby the player has to get his new club to pay the sell on fee to the previous?

Still be a bargain 😂

I honestly don't know, mate. It's a business at the end of the day, so you'd think they would cover every eventuality

Once the contract ends, the club no longer holds the player’s registration, so any clauses applied to the previous contract go with it - otherwise it would be ‘retain and transfer’ through the back door :)

Nah, he’ll be in the PL on a huge contract with Liverpool if he doesn’t move this summer

Yeah, I can see a situation where he stays at Palace, gets to play in Europe with them and then fucks off to Liverpool for nowt.

Parish may well want to cash in now but Guehi holds the better cards, there’s no rush for Liverpool to buy him now.

The whole angle is strange. Why say what he’s prepared to do when he’s already been prepared to leave? Bad writing.

He wants to be a starter though and he has more chance of that at NUFC than LFC.

Real Madrid are already tapping up Konate to run his contract out. So Guehi on a free to replace Konate leaving on a free.
