I haven't bad mouthed him once and been willing to give him chance to settle in and find some form, but he really has ended up being a donkey, literally no redeeming features to his game at all, he’s not brought anything meaningful to the squad and a downgrade on Almiron.

I’m similar. Think he has shown glimpses, has actually had unfair stick at times and been keen to support him. As it has also looked like a confidence

issue. Some of the abuse against Burnley was baffling.

But it’s looking more and more like he’s just not very good and in hindsight. That we’ve overpaid by a lot more than people first thought.

Not going to get any easier for him, either. As I can’t see him getting a run of starts anytime soon and the crowd are going to be even worse with him now.

To think we could have had Mbuemo and instead ended up with this donkey. Forest have done us again, first Anderson and now him.

We were linked with and bid for loads of players that didn’t want to come here/went elsewhere for more money. Mbeumo being one of them.

No relevance to Elanga whatsoever.

Exactly Mbuemo wasn’t going to come here, grew up supporting Man U, wanted to go there.

The gauling thing is we’ve dropped 55m on him and you could argue we’re in a worse position now on the RW.

I don't think you'd need to argue very much, for all his faults Almirom would still chip in with the odd goal/assist.

On the wings in general.

We have an underperforming, wildly inconsistent Gordon. Who seems to keep Barnes out of the team regardless.

Barnes is too good not to play and our best finisher. But is poor on the right and his skillset is nullified there. So it seems like IMO, our best wide man regularly sits on the bench.

Murphy is a poor footballer. But great in and around the box. Losing Isak has effected how dangerous he is though and he hasn’t been the same this season.

Elanga has been mainly crap bar the odd half here and there. Looks totally unsuited to whatever it is we’re trying to do in attack. In his defence, I have no idea what we are trying to do in attack, either.

Outside of that purple patch, not really. But he offered more in actually looking like he knew what his role was and his constant running. Elanga isn’t even offering that at the minute.

Agreed mate, we’ve got the issues with the wingers, Wissa injury crushed us and Woltemade seems to have been bought without any idea how to play him effectively in a 433 or in any formation.

We desperately need this guy to produce something for us. We are not in a position where we can write off £55m like it's nothing.

The worrying thing is in 4/5 months he’s been here, he has done nothing remotely  to suggest he’s capable of anything

I’m really hoping Howe reverts back to some sort of throwback to his Bournemouth days. Get Wissa as the striker with Woltemade behind him at times.

He seems really wedded to the 4-3-3, however and even if we went back to the 5 at the back. We have never played it with two strikers, I don’t think?

The front 6 look toothless most weeks and I don’t understand what the plan is with how they are all meant to mesh together.

It feels like we need more than just the slight tweaks from last season (Tonali to the 6) to turn our fortunes around away from home.

I'm not in a rush to call this guy something he's not, but comments like he's shown absolutely nothing just aren't true.

Might be blind faith at this point but I still hold out some hope he'll find his feet and click in the second half of the season.

He wasn't lethal for Forest last season just because Chris Wood had a purple patch.

The fact he's absolutely terrible at the basics is massively concerning.

He was good for Forest though, so he can be effective in this league. Requires a game where he can make the most of that pace, because it's the only real stand-out asset he's got.

Obviously but this isn't reflective of his performances for his previous club. Maybe it will never happen for him here but it's not like we watched this exact player putting in these exact performances and thought "yes we want that." He's just in absolutely terrible form.

We don't play nothing like Nunos forest though and our ambition shouldn't ever to be play such a brand of football.

Not going to pile in on Elanga but I don't see how he ever puts up those numbers for us given his limitations.

You're such a good guy Yorkie. You find it so hard to say anything negative about anybody.

Whatever your views on him he’s obviously significantly better than he’s shown for us so far. He looks like he’s never played football before at the moment.

All I can think he’s struggling with the move and feels under massive pressure and lacking confidence.

You could argue he should be introduced more gradually but that basically means start Murphy every game. Which we probably can’t do anyway.

As I’ve said I think Gordon converting to the right is probably our best bet for now.

I agree, Barnes left and Gordon right is the best option but the manager won’t do that
