I saw him make at least 2 runs down the line but he doesn’t get given the ball when he does it, it’s not all down to him.

Been happening most of the season. Have mentioned it loads.

Even aside from that he had some decent interchanges with Miley as well ... but any single misstep is now being pounced on. As if the other wingers never had any gaffes of their own in this very game!

The psychology of this whole Elanga fiasco really needs to be studied by someone.

It's beyond pathetic really.

Not so much a habit. More a fetish at this point.

Some fans always have to have one of their own to get at.

Not at all saying Elanga's been a good signing just that some people cant wait to get on someone.  Gary Speed was there once.

Speed was fucking dreadful those first couple of years in fairness, especially playing wide left

The crowd need a pantomime villain to moan and whinge about and the chosen one is currently Elanga

Longstaff had the same, so did Dan Burn, so did Chris Wood, so have many others.

Elanga’s been poor, but large sections of the crowd berating him constantly isn’t going to make a player play better, it makes them play worse.

After watching that cameo at close quarters I’m absolutely convinced it’s confidence.  He passed him back down the line and half the fucking stadium groaned ffs.

The whole thing is getting so ridiculous I'm actually hoping we just take a massive loss and he goes back to Forest.

He was really happy there and was well liked by the fans and his teammates, and was growing in confidence and building a nice career for himself, and also helping establish Forest at this level and even push for Europe.

What a fucking nightmare the current environment must be for him in contrast. From what I'm seeing I'm not confident he's going to be able to turn things around with this sort of atmosphere around him now.

Liverpool spent £130 million on Isak, who has been walking around and doing nothing every match, and it isn't even half as toxic with him over there.

Just unbelievable.

Unrecognisable from how he kept going at the full back against both Barca and Union.

I'm sure people frothing over how "shit" he is will be doing him the world of good.

Also, don't think Howe has did a great job of giving him enough starts early on when he was looking brighter, and before people started making him a punching bag to take their frustrations out on.

Will be Howe's mess to sort out now. Good luck to him.

I think Howe needs to take a leaf out of Keegan's book and tell him to just "get at 'em!"

Keegan used to tell his players to play their game and he would take responsibility for the mistakes. I think Elanga needs some of that.

He’ll probably come back up here and humiliate us like Chris Wood did a couple of Christmases ago.

When your winger gets the ball just over halfway with acres of space to run into and he just stops and passes it back I think people are entitled to shout at him to fucking run like.

Entitled is a good word choice there like.

Yeah shouting at players is a great way to help them, it never fails

My mate was at a family funeral in Nottingham a few weeks ago. His nephews are season ticket holders at Forest but are nufc due to their dad. They can’t believe how poor he’s been for us, thought he’d slot straight in and tear it up, said they were bewildered by his form.

Yeah thought that was one of his better showings to be honest. So if fans were on his back then that's kinda disappointing. However not all that surprising as in previous games it felt like he lost the ball nearly every time he got it. So if he is saying safe to keep possession that's probably an improvement on losing it or running out of play previously.
