Even at us when he made a mistake or made the wrong decision, he was visibly affected by it. He's an emotional fella and unlike a lot of professional footballers these days he's committed and just wants to help the team. Getting on his back is a good way to completely destroy the lad.

I do think he'll get to a level where he's serviceable for you, especially if you start to play a bit deeper or on the counter. Hopefully that's after you have a really poor season and are forced to sell your best players and never challenge the "cartel" again.

Thats what’s on the cards anyway - we can’t afford a shit window at any point.  The game is rigged.

You had a shit window last year and qualified for the CL to be fair.

This is my fear though. I think he's actually far more capable than he's looked so far, but I do worry that he's a small club player. Man U and NUFC have very demanding fans, that needs broad shoulders and a thick skin. I really hope Eddie can encourage him to express himself without fear.

Yep - this suggests a fundamental issue.

Doesn’t matter - a shit window more than wipes out the PSR gains.  This is why Man Utd can make mistake after mistake and we can’t.

Can we? Almost like we haven't cut half of our workforce and sold a lot of homegrown talent.

Man Utd has made more mistakes than any club on the planet and can still blow us out the water with Sesko (thank you for that btw).  So yes, the rules are absolutely in place to de-risk everything for the likes of the plastic mancs.

We didn't blow you out of the water. Like Mbeumo, Sesko just wanted to come to us over you.

You went and spent pretty much the same amount on Woltemade and offered him similar wages as well.

The point is that given how fucked Man Utd’s transfer policy has been, it isn’t fucked enough under PSR to spend megabucks against clubs who - until that point - had an almost perfect record.  Our transfer policy last window has likely fucked us next year - but Amorim could have another season like last year and Man Utd could do exactly the same again.

I don’t even see how it’s an argument - the likes of the Glazers have de-risked their leveraged investment to the point that any ambitious club below them is fucked if they don’t have a perfect record in recruitment.  This isn’t even a conspiracy theory - it’s the entire purpose of PSR.

We absolutely could not. We're in trouble if we don't get European football this season. We're just lucky enough to have the Mainoo sale and Saudi interest in Fernandes in the back pocket if it goes tits up.

Third highest turnover in world football.  Unless every sad case from Dublin to Delhi who ‘supports’ Man Utd moves on, then the club will never, ever be in danger from the rules it introduced.  Face it - the cunts who own your club have made sure that you hammer the final nail in football being a sporting competition.

To be fair all the crack last summer when Man Utd didn't win the Europa League and qualify for CL was that they were fucked in the summer in terms of spending, then they go drop whatever it was on 3 players.

Man Utd will always find a way to be able to spend due to their turnover and commercial income. They're not the ones that are able to plead poverty that's for sure.

It was offset by Garnacho, Antony, Sancho, Rashford, Hojlund, Evans, Lindelof and Eriksen leaving the club and great sell on fees from Elanga and Carreras.

You can't have outgoings like that every year.

I’m sure we hear this every season. I suppose we’ll see Ratcliffe holding out a collection tin again on sky sports soon.

You probably do hear it every season.

"We've got the McTominay sale in the back pocket."

"We've got the Garnacho sale in the back pocket."

Haven't been impressed with him and there's huge worries about his ability but I know the answer to solving it isn't for the whole crowd to groan when he gets the ball

To be fair, they groaned because he had a huge amount of space to drive into but instead turned back and played a negative pass at 1-1.  A winger is never going to win the crowd over doing that.
