Gordon needs off like. He's not a CF.

Stick him on the left - get Joelinton back in midfield and bring on Wilson for Willock

Take the West Ham second half and that's basically nowt created whatsoever in the last 90 mins of play. Wilson's pen shout on Monday if you're being generous. Not good enough really.

Based on what ? Genuine question as we haven’t had a sniff, we are lucky to not be losing.

Based on bleeding black and white and howay the lads. Not much else.

Begs the question - why fetch Barnes on and not Osula or Wilson? Perplexing.

We know the answer to this.

Wilson isn't up to playing 70 minutes and Willie isn't trusted at this moment in time.

I suppose it's dependent on how you look at the game. I suspect we've had more possession and more territory.... although it's a habit of ours at the moment to actually dominate on that front but not look like scoring and potentially look vulnerable at the back.

Our decision making at either end of the pitch is costing us, particularly our inability to defend from set pieces.

We need a CB and we need a forward player to give us some spice.

Competitive field. But that is the worst half I’ve seen from us this season. Not had a shot and some of the usual slack defending.

The worry to me is that in a lot of games this season. The players don’t seem like themselves. Not playing with energy and aggression. I’m not suggesting Howe’s lost the dressing room. But something is amiss.

Just looks a bit flat and stale. Which is half expected after the last two transfer windows.

Where to start.

Gordon and Willock both struggling to get into good positions to receive the ball and are both pulling out of challenges. Gordon up front is his worst position and he's never scored a goal for us there. No idea why Howe puts him there tbh, it's not for his off-the-ball work that's for sure because that's been absent a lot this season.

Schar and Burn having average games.

Hall has, once again, been one of our only players who can retain the ball and slow things down and set the tone.

Livramento has looked out of his depth, poor decision making and disconnected.

Tonali has been good in the defensive midfield role and broke up a few notable Palace attacks.

Bruno has been completely anonymous and looks like he doesn't know what he's meant to be doing. Team looks leaderless right now and that's at Bruno's door unfortunately.

Players of the half for us have been Tonali, Hall and Pope.

General summary is it looks like a lot of confused footballers playing as individuals that just don't know what they should be doing and where to go.

For this game, I think a straight 4-4-2 with a combination of Wilson/Osula/Joelinton up top is the way to go. Sit deep in a low block and counter with pace and play to the strenghs of Willock, Gordon and Barnes.
