Class that, never expected it to be so easy. Arsenal never turned up and we did.

One of the best atmospheres I've experienced at SJP. Class, and especially great to be standing in the corner. Never heard Arsenal all night - couldnt tell if we just drowned them out

Despite how great, real example of the damage VAR has done for me. I let myself go for the first disallowed goal, confident he was onside from my angle. For the two goals there was a cautiousness to my celebration after being burned, good, but not that all out feeling.

The 'it must be the ball' chant was the perfect combination of gloating and taking the piss. loved it.

Well done everyone, I really felt it made a difference.

Very stressed now about getting into Wembley.

Same. I ran down the steps to the walkway below, bounced along to the entrance to the concourse, gave a lass I used to sit near a smacker on the lips and a hug then returned to my seat bug-eyed to find out it was being checked.

Took some ribbing about it, so when Murphy scored I made a point of standing silently until the kick-off was taken to restart the game then I went daft by myself.

Fuck me we were good last night. Both on the pitch and in the stands. The pre-kick off displays, especially when the crowd are up for it are something to behold.

It feels like this team has crossed the boundary between hoping they can win, and knowing they can win. I've witnessed us in five domestic finals, and it's the first time I've detected that.

Got talking to some Arsenal fans in the pub last night (they left when the 2nd went in). Nothing but good things to say about the team and city and they want us to win the cup now.

It'll be 3pm

It might get moved.

Last time was 4:30pm as Spurs v Chelsea was at 1:30, Arsenal are now due to play Chelsea that day so could be similar.

To circle back to everybody's favourite subject ffp. You can see why the sky 6 would rather blow up the league than ever let it go away. Imagine what Eddie would do to arteta if we were actually able to invest and comparable levels.

I missed that snide barge on Tonali too, but as I said above, thought when he wasn't booked for the Bruno challenge he'd already been booked for something and the ref bottled a 2nd yellow (for fear of death threats).

Best thing about that challenge on Bruno though, I half expected him to stay down, kill some time, but he jumped up and did a celebration in front of the Milburn, he just knew it was a petulant challenge from someone completely wound up and frustrated becuase we'd battered them. Class.

Loved these

Perhaps the most visible gulf between the two sides, though, was right in the centre, where Guimarães and Sandro Tonali were taking Declan Rice back to school. Rice is a fine, gutsy, intelligent player, but he simply has insufficient dawg in him for games such as this. He wants it calmer and simpler, he wants the extra split second that doesn’t exist. Trust the processes. Do the processes. Next thing he knows – yoink! – Guimarães has not only read the pass and won the ball but pinged it 35 yards and given you a sharp but inexplicable pain in the kidneys.

Howe had opted for a back five, for safety in numbers, and Newcastle hunted in much the same way. Guimarães and Tonali were chasing down everything in midfield. Alexander Isak on current form remains unmatched at turning quarter‑chances into actual chances. Sven Botman was surgically terrifying in defence, blazing a trail of very precise destruction, like a self-driving car gone over to the dark side. Dan Burn merrily Dan Burned all over the place. Fabian Schär and Anthony Gordon led the high press and forced Arsenal to cough up the ball time and again.

Such a weird fanbase. Isn’t trippier’s dad black?

It’s almost like they’re aware of the fact clicks/likes/views = revenue.

Being daft gets the figures up.
