if our fanbase are known for wearing football shirts at the match then good. You should go to the match with the intention of supporting your team, and part of that is wearing a shirt.

better than wannabe hooligans turning up in stone island

However, there was a moment at full-time which saw Maresca snub Tindall’s offer for a handshake. At the end of the game, Maresca can be seen shaking Howe’s hand before immediately going onto the pitch.

Tindall’s arm can be seen in the corner of the shot, but his hand was left unshaken.

When asked about why he snubbed Tindall’s hand, Maresca said: “I shook Eddie Howe’s hand. I think this is enough.”

Now that Eddie's back, Maddog has gone back to his shithousing best.

Hated Chelsea when the Russian owned them and even more now under the Human Capitalist.

the irony. John Terry famously turned up in full kit and shin pads when he was out injured.

Wasn't there some incident with their fans after the 1-0 (Willock) 2 years ago out side the Black Bull? If memory serves, they were starting on normal fans minding their own business and got a hiding outside once a few realized what was going on. Another club with far too many knuckle dragger fans still stuck in the dark ages of the mid 80s. Another reason to loathe this shitbag club.

Chelsea have always been Millwall-with-money.  They may have added a bunch of new fans in recent years since the Abramovich takeover but their core fanbase have always been utter cunts.

Cucurella was getting a load of grief where I was Milburn Stand 18 yard line Gallowgate. Diving, moaning, being a twat. He reacted to the crowd a couple of times, was lovely. He didn’t like being called a cheating cunt; that’s for sure.

I think one of the hallmarks of Newcastle nowadays is we play with genuine belief. There's real hope around the place, purpose and drive to all we do, and a lot of that is down to Eddie of course. It's awesome to see us absolutely taking it to 'big' teams and believing we can beat them.

In saying that, I wonder if the 2nd half v Chelsea was evidence that we've still got a way to go to being able to really assert ourselves and control some games. It was like we slipped back into the rather negative "let's hang on to this" mindset. I'd like to see Eddie really insisting we control games better, even if it's just holding onto a lot of the ball. We're more than good enough to do it.

Against good teams with 10 men we get stuck in no man’s land where we don’t attack with full throttle but also end up overly susceptible to the counter.

Against 10 men you want to go side to side, run the legs down, have faith that a goal will come.  But our crowd gets nervous at long passages of play without a shot then the players get nervous.

Chelsea are also well suited to playing with 10.  They do a lot of boring passing with a numerical disadvantage breeds belief and hope and helps against getting tired.

I’ve seen a lot about Chelsea playing well. I don’t see it. Chelsea have a lot of possession and they maintained it with 10. But that’s it. They only created 2 half chances  and Pope made only 2 saves of note. Both comfortable.

I think 11 v 11 it would have ended the same, possibly 3-0

What was he booked for? I just went back and watched it again, and during the initial foul (on us from which Bruno scored) he was miles away in our half. The camera never showed the melee or whatever went on, just the ref then getting the card out.

Answered by the Match Cam, he got in Colwill's face a bit but didn't look as card worthy compared to anything they got away with. Colwill acts Billy Big Bollocks yet has achieved nothing yet and always has a big mistake / red card in him. I think there's a player there, but he has a stinking attitude.

This Chelsea fan is hilarious. He's like an anti fan channel... fan channel.

Some nice analysis from 20:00

He's absolutely right about the Enzo Fernandez shit. The whole system is built around getting that little cunt in the side because he cost too much.
