Spurs and West Ham win this weekend and we are dragged for to close to it

West Ham are playing in the FA cup this weekend, put I get your point, if both win their next 2 league games we will get twitchy

No they aren’t, they have Everton at home.

I’m genuinely worried we finish 16th now.

I'm the same, and yet plenty of people will still say give Howe next season.

So now we're sacking Howe for made up scenarios in our heads?

No its for losing the last 8 of 11 PL games (before tomorrow), and 5 of last 6 home PL home games, and being around 8-14 place all season, and losing both derbies, and spending £125m on strikers he won't play, and £55m on a winger with no goals and one assist in PL, and being out thought tactically in most games, and losing more home games than in seasons we've been relegated, and not making subs proactively resulting in leads becoming losses in the last 30 minutes of games, and some other stuff.

Been a brilliant manager for us and gave me possibly the best day of my life on 16th March 2025 standing at Wembley (don't tell the missus or kids!) but we are stale now and the players no longer respond to his instructions so its time for a change.

The fact that this thread exists in any sense after the money spent on the squad generally and last summer in particular would be enough at most clubs

I really hope there aren’t people on here that do.

Forest and Leeds could easily finish above us, especially seeing as we have to go to Forest as they're hitting a bit of form.

Had it not been for LinkedIn Liam & Osula's late show against Man U, we'd be in the conversation.

West Ham wouldn’t need to for us to finish 16th.

Forest in 16th have us at their place in 2 weeks and they’re 3 points behind us. It’s a legitimate concern.

I don’t think we’ll go down but I do believe we’re currently the worst team in the PL. Looked like Spurs had a bit fight about them last Saturday, which is more than anyone can say about us at the minute.

An extra 5 games and I think we’d be in big trouble, I honestly don’t think Howe and Tindall have a fucking clue as it stands.

13th, 14th, 15th, 16th is failure and under-performing wherever it is we end up. If it was 16th, then bar losing 3 or so million, it does emphasise that failure more than a limp 13th would. Unless we were to get 10 or so points and make a real fist of the last 5 games, then I'm not really fussed where we end up. I'll certainly not be looking at Palace, Leeds and Forest results and be gutted if they win so we drop a place or two.

All it would take to be playing Forest for the 15th/16th place people have mentioned in a few weeks is losing at home to Brighton as usual.

Losing at Arsenal (extremely likely)

Leeds beat Burnley at home (highly likely)

There's every chance all of that happens.  Don't know if we end up there but do know its not the fans fault and is far from incredulous. Bordering on denial at this point to think otherwise.

I'm talking about the relegationmeter being bumped, people are getting to a point where they're trying to out-hysteria each other.

No doubt we’ve been shite, but this thread but the fact this thread is active can’t be put on Howe. Its active cos either people want to discuss Tottenham getting relegated (why I opened it) or discuss implausible scenarios.
