For not much more you can probably get 24 year old Jackson. A 24 year old Jackson who is no where near the goalscorer Wissa is. We could have gotten loads of better deals on forwards, but Wissa is about as a sure thing as you'll get to score goals in this league.

r0cafella
We need to see the final fee and the contract length so we can guage the actual cost. I highly doubt we give him a 5 year deal and thus the payment will be spread over a shorter term. So if it's a 3 year deal the cost is higher than BFG. Wissa has 2 years on his contract really and scored 19 open play goals last season and 4 assists. Watkins scored 16 not sure if any of them are penalties Watkins is a fine player, but led "big chances missed" last year, despite not scoring that many. Relative to goals scored, DCL kills this stat, so I think its a meaningful one that matches the eye test. https://www.fotmob.com/en/leagues/47/stats/season/23685/players/big_chance_missed/premier-league From open play, Wissa was clinical than Isak in 24/25. His behaviour marks him out as only slightly less of a prick than Isak, which is a big shame, but I'll trust Eddie on that one. I don't like the prices, but Wissa and Woltemade is an upgrade on Wilson and Isak. We should have got more for PSR out of it, maybe 20M, and the club would be wise to sort the backroom people out. And the commercial revenue people. And the get-the-stadium-built people. They are locking out 10,000 plus every game. Two very good strikers in though means this is disaster averted and probably a very good window. Shame about the seven points that were there for the taking. And the Gordon suspension, and the Big Joe injury.
Teasy
Excellent signing if it goes through. Very happy with Wissa, even though we're overpaying a bit given his ages and contract status.

It’s a great window TBH, if you factor in the chaos caused by Isak it’s incredible work to come out with a stronger squad and a lot of dead wood shifted. That said, the first team could well end up being slightly worse for a while, which is difficult to get your head around.
Dr.Spaceman
We need to get 2 or 3 years out of him and then receive a decent enough fee (15 million or so). At that point how much would this transfer have cost us? I don't think it's too "bad" if we turn around at that point and say this transfer has cost us 20 million, assuming he scores double digits each season I think this deal is completely fine. I'm not crying, honestly

andycap
Put it this way he wants to come to us, he is a proven goalscorer in this league and if he bangs them in this year and we get champions league again it's money we'll spent. in that time hopefully woltemade is adjusted and progressing well in his first season in English football.
