Their record with young strikers is abysmal...100m worth of Zirkzee and Hojland (both massively rated when they bought them) who they cant even give away now

This isn't just an anomaly, it's a pattern now. We're significantly shitter at convincing players to come to us and we clearly haven't spend the downtime doing any groundwork. It's a fucking shambles Not seen that, where is it please?

It was basically saying there needs to be a review into why we can't attract players to the club and that PIF will likely be holding an investigation meeting into it. But she's normally very diplomatic so it's probably bullshit
J7
Can see PIF sanctioning a huge bid for Jackson. Would help Chelsea a lot.
The College Dropout
There's no need to conduct an investigation. We aren't doing the diligent groundwork and are offering less money to players than rival clubs. Then we continue to pursue similar situations. I said this from the start - Sesko and his agent were playing funny buggers with Arsenal.

RobsonsWonderland
Pretty simple We want top players but can't offer top wages. We could buy the next level down quiet easily but they now want the top salary we pay. And if we did the latter we would have a whole squad wanting salary increases Rock and a hard place but we could keep Isak and others on new contracts if we don't spend money on filling the squad gaps

Ste
You’d like to think we’ve been working on other signings and not just twiddling our thumbs waiting for a response but who knows.

They are convinced the big club pull is something fictional, and therefore it must be a failure of the board somehow. If there is a failure it's been chasing players who we were not likely to get. Not a bigger transfer fee. But a bigger financial package to the player? And he said - no?
andycap
This could drag on for weeks mind with scrooge Ratcliffe haggling over a price. 😂

You can't really sell him as in sure his book value is high. I haven't got the slightest clue. I don't want him to go but I'm sure he'd be sold if a decent offer came in. dcmk
We should put in a higher bid. Get Man Utd to match it, just for the inconvenience for them more than anything.

Do you know what his book value is? Signing Sesko is like you've given up on him which is hilarious but also kinda sad for him. I reckon you peddle him on Loan you don't need 3 strikers. He's only 22 so a loan would be great I think. Zirkzee isn't a striker as well, more of a #10, so maybe Amorim will want to keep Hojlund. Who knows.
