all this talk of him going to Man Utd, despite Newcastle offered much more. I dont think its true, Leipzig probably now asking them to match our bid. which may not be more than 5m euros or something.and then still likely they offered higher salary, higher bonuses etc.

 

media really wants to create the illusion here that he had billionaire offer from Newcastle but choose the modest Man Utd offer instead.

The difference between Chelsea and United is that Chelsea still sell players for a profit or small loss at worst.

 

KDH will basically sign for Everton for almost the same amount Chelsea paid for him.

 

One of the few times that United did well when selling a player was Dan James. They basically robbed Leeds.

 

I'm tired of the beautiful game. It needs a shakeup. I personally would have loved the chaos that The ESL would have brought. Football is becoming boring with The PL the dominant league financially. I thought Newcastle were really going to cause chaos with their financial muscle. But it's just become PSR softporn. FIFA and UEFA ended up getting a sort of watered down version of The ESL with the new Champions League format and creation of the new FIFA Club World Cup. They were just mad that the clubs tried to form a breakaway without them getting a significant portion of the pie.

I know you’re thinking with your heart but once the likes of bbc and everyone start reporting things like closing in on then there’s not usually a shock at that stage.

Amanda's tweet this morning was spot on - there needs to be an internal review into why we're so shit at attracting players. This isn't just an anomaly, it's a pattern now. 

We're significantly shitter at convincing players to come to us and we clearly haven't spend the downtime doing any groundwork. It's a fucking shambles

I think he'll do ok, but will turn into one of those players that look like prime Messi/Ronaldo when playing us. We all know the type...Ryan Taylor who suddenly became better than Beckham at set pieces when we played Wigan, DCL whenever the scouse makems rock up. Loads of rubbish players who save the best performances of the season when we come around. Crystal Palace are masters of it
