Roids
Heads clamouring for Jackson... Appreciate we're desperate but come on Edited August 20, 2025 by Roids
soyt
I don't think he is total waste of space, at least he has done something. Also he has pace and possibly good work rate, so yeah maybe you could see him being decent with Eddie's coaching. Rather Jackson than Osula or Gordon upfront i guess.. Monters
Loan with option then worth the gamble… even loan with obligation provided it’s performance related then go for it. Blimey I’m getting desperate now! The above would only work with another forward too but God knows who that would be. Did want Wissa earlier but less so now, would love Watkins despite age but why would Villa sell plus PSR etc. Feeling pretty low about it all at the minute Edited August 20, 2025 by Monters

AyeDubbleYoo
Loan seems a no-brainer TBH, big problem addressed for little risk. Might even be able to sign 2 strikers.
Shak
The more I read about Jackson the more convinced I am he’d be a great fit for us. Would much prefer him to Wissa.

TBG
Villa with arguably a better summer than us if they get Jackson on loan.
joeyt
Surely Villa don't need Jackson unless they're selling Watkins
Smal
A £10m loan fee for a season of Jackson is arguably better value than £45m for (maybe) 3 good seasons of Wissa at his age. Neither are particularly good options at the prices being mentioned, however. Particularly if there's an obligation to a big fee for Jackson. The closer it gets to deadline day the softer Chelsea will have to be. If we can do a loan with an option instead I think it'll be a goer.

joeyt
Arsenal in the market for a striker now with Havertz injured and they've got a hard on for Chelsea players

Pilko
30 in 81 appearances for Chelsea. It's a good record that. Chelsea is like a black hole for strikers, whether they do well or not it seems like they come out a laughing stock regardless. He'd fit us well in terms of his ability to press and I think Eddie will be able to get more out of him and we will suit him more than their style of play does. Would be a good signing but I can understand some of the hesitancy about his mentality and finishing ability.

Kanj
They just signed Guessand, Villa. Again, he’s not terrible. He is a raw-ish striker with an insane turn of pace, good hold up and link play at midfield, very good presser of the ball and has been totally fucked about by Chelsea. Is he perfect? No. I’d have preferred many of the summer targets over him. Age is on his side and he’d cause most of the premier league problems with how we’d set him up to play. Dr.Spaceman
Jackson would be class here, I'd be very surprised if it happens at this stage

Kanj
Be nice if people actually read the articles posted to see why he’d fit here or actually watched any Chelsea matches before just brandishing someone as shit.
Geordie Magpie
Reckon if he's available for loan, Arsenal will be all over it, they love a former Chelsea player & Havertz is now injured. Arsenal being in the market for another striker might throw another spanner in the works for our striker search
