I thought in a quagmire of shit. He looked alright

But we’ve lost yet again. So any positivity on here is not allowed.

He's tidy on the ball but that's about it so far.

Really surprised by both how slow and easy he is to push off the ball though..

I don’t think he’s stood out as particularly bad and can see why some think he looks tidy. However, was he really the profile of midfielder we needed? We’ve been easy to play through for a while and have lacked creativity.

At 45 million it looks like a luxury signing to pad out the squad and as a previous poster has pointed out the mackems signed Xhaka and Sadiki for about 35 million.

Where paying a huge price for not having a DOF in place during the summer.

The one signing we made in the summer that I think was a mistake and am not hugely invested in. We would have been much better with some of what Sunderland ended up with, an experienced player to sit in front of the defence and a youngster with a bit of energy.

Elanga would ironically fit that Sunderland team like a glove based on how they play & Forest last season. They have players for their setup, probably wouldn't translate here.

I thought we bought him so we could continue to press by swapping between him and Joelinton. However we currently don’t press at all so he now looks another like for like midfield with not enough technical quality.

From what Ive seen, very limited sample size without question he doesn't have it in him to press. I was shocked by how slow he looked. Maybe it's the TV doing him dirty I don't know, but wow zero physicality.

Doesn't score, doesn't assist, doesn't create chances, doesn't link up play, no great movement, he's just there.

Another Willock really. For £40m.

Disagree, he’s shown himself to be excellent at providing goals and assists at Aston Villa in the past. His issue wasn’t ability, it was staying injury free. He links play well, he has good movement and he has excellent technique on the ball. He may not have assisted or scored yet at us but he’s played 190 minutes in the premier league and had an injury. Give him some time. The only issue we face with him is whet he his body can stay fit

Thought he was poor yesterday no doubt but it’s far too early to write him off

He will disappear having achieved fuck all with us.

So did Sean Longstaff.

I'm unsure what you mean:lol:

I'm just saying willock won a cup with us, you likened Ramsey to willock whilst also saying he'll leave without achieving anything.

Stranger things can happen, Danny simpson has a PL winners medal after all!

You think Ramsay will come good? You think Willock will come good? You wonder why Longstaff was moved on?

Danny Simpson ended up at a team who won a once in a lifetime PL. The correlation? He was still just an ok full back.

I think Ramsey will be fine if nothing spectacular at Newcastle.

My point was lesser players have achieved more when you stated he will achieve fuck all.

Willock is done and has been for a few seasons now. I'm not going to argue players don't pass their usefulness dates as the team evolves(or at least attempts to in our case).

Don't know why but I can't help but think of Marc Wilmots when I read your username.

Bit harsh to judge a player when we're on a poor run and the whole team is playing shit. Do you expect him to single-handedly pull us out of this mess? He's not fucking Messi.

Give him some time and judge him when the team is performing and confident
