The two posts I quoted are just exaggerated nonsense, that's all. There's so much to critique without making shit up. So tedious to read.

There’s some truth to it for sure but I think everyone’s losing their heads a bit. In some cases giving people time is absolutely the right thing for the team. Someone like Elanga and Ramsey shouldn’t need a lot of time but like Prophet says, Eddie takes a decent amount of time to trust people to implement his tactics and once he trusts them he backs them massively. The narrative has gone a little too extreme on him not introducing new players though

There isn't a single grain of truth to the suggestion that new players don't play for a year. I could even get pinickity and say even Hall got opportunities early on and established himself as first choice before the season was out.

I agree with everything about Howe taking time to bed certain players in.

I think one of the most important things to Howe is that his players are tactically dialled in. It'll take some longer to get it than others.

Agree.  However, this season we do not seem to have clear tactics or a way of playing.  We seem to have deserted the high-press, quick transition approach - so new players like Ramsey and Elanga seem to be struggling, much like the rest of the team.

Didn’t get the signing at the time, still don’t. Another player that will have moments, but for the fee, it’s really not sensible business.

We've spent £150m on 3 players that have provided next to nothing for us up to this point. Really need to his guy to succeed.

I think he shows promise when he does play and you can see his strengths. Strange he hasn’t been given more opportunities but Burnley at home feels like a great time to give him a PL start

Can’t remember timeline but if Willock hadn’t been injured in the summer he’d have been peddled IMO.

Why make a deal of signing overpriced Premier League players if they’re not going to come in and make an immediate impact?

There's less risk of PL players needing time to adjust to our team, but there will always be a risk associated with new players regardless of their experience. We paid extra to reduce that risk, it didn't pay off. We just need to hope he can become an important player for us even if he doesn't justify the premium we paid.

May well have been the case, but if Willock is now hooking it up in training where Howe is back to liking him, then what does that mean for Ramsey? He’s 6th choice CM until Willock goes (Willock may even get a new deal). We really need this guy to come good as much as Wissa and Elanga because we can’t afford to have money tied up in players that are not moving the dial for us.

Can't get a game for toffee. Don't understand it, Joelinton isn't exactly playing well in there.

Don't think Ramsey's pulled up any trees when he's come on either tbf. At least Joelinton gives you the physical presence, Ramsey gives off more Willock vibes.
