Think he will go from strength to strength as long as he stays relatively injury free which is his biggest hurdle for me. A brilliant alternative in the middle for certain games but I do still think we need one more central midfielder to replace Willock that is a bit more creative   A midfield six of Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton, Ramsey, Miley and a more creative 8/10 would be such a brilliant mix that could help us shake things up to suit different scenarios

Got to admit I was wrong, he’s class.

He'll be class when he starts finishing moves and not just playing some nice stuff up to the final third.

He had a decent game, and looks very promising, but ultimately he still looks like he's not quite delivering the KO.

He definitely had a good game. Better than decent. This was a game where being press resistant is massive and just keeping things ticking is excellent.

Overall he needs to add penetration to his game. Either drive forward, pass forward or score goals/assist.

But he can be proud of himself he was great yesterday

Along with Hall. He’s basically our only available player that will put his foot on the ball, demand it under pressure and usually keep hold of it.

Terrific performance last night. Hard to call a MOTM. I thought Big Joe or Hall. But Ramsey was right up there.

He also needs players who he can trust to retain the ball if he fires it forward into them, which we don't really have much of at the moment.

Feel like his performance is being underrated a bit. His all-round game last night was top-notch midfield work imo.

There was a phase of play late into the second half where iirc he helps to regain possession, he's being pressed but manages to play a 1-2, then plays a fantastic first-time pass out to LW while on the move. It was liquid stuff.

Never stopped Bruno.  Bruno is getting on it and finding a forward pass or goes on the dribble. When I watch Elliot Anderson he does the same thing. Wraps it into forward players.

Been quietly one of our best players for a little while now. Despite missing a few 2nd halves for multiple unfortunate reasons. Said we would massively miss him for that City game and I think this game proved that. He's so much more technical than Willock and outside of Bruno is our best midfielder for asking for the ball under any condition and being brave.

There was a few times he dropped deep to get the ball surrounded by players and came out of it with the ball. He's been steadily growing in performance and hopefully we are now seeing the player we thought we were signing.

In the old football Pink when they used to give out 3 stars for MOTM, 2 stars for the next best player and 1 star for our 3rd best player I would certainly have given him the 1 star award behind Hall and Joelinton. Thought he was excellent and even more promising that he can put in that level of performance against a team like that.

Yeah, that would have been my rankings as well.

Flashscore say he's suspended for Chelsea but surely two yellows is a one game ban.

Aye, that’s wrong, he’s served his one game ban.

His close ball control is excellent - you can see him getting better with each game.

He's quality. Him and Thiaw were great signings.

Think Elanga can/will get better. Big Wolte will in his preferred position and with a full pre season under him. Wissa fuck knows.
