He didn't even appeal. The last thing I was expecting was a booking. Makes the win even more satisfying against them.

I thought he was decent today. Better than Willock. More involved.  Not Bruno/Sandro levels but he looked a lot more reliable with and without the ball.

Can't appeal a 2nd yellow red either can you? So you can't get Var involved and you can't appeal...hmm seems fair. We will miss him as he's had two good 45 mins in a row and he helps fill the Bruno void a little bit.

*Edit. Yep can't appeal, that's bullshit that, grounds for all sorts of corruption if certain refs with bias wanted to.

"No General Appeal: A dismissal for two yellow cards is considered a final decision on the day, with no right of appeal against the subsequent one-match suspension"

From the summer VAR will be able to get involved with 2nd yellows, they'll not advise a ref to give one but if one is incorrectly awarded they can send the ref to the monitor

No idea if that would have made a difference tonight as they probably would have just had behind it being a subjective call

Was kind of funny, he never got touched that I could see but his right leg looked a slight bit off when it landed. If he was diving he jumps up and protests, it looked like he just fell. That was an abysmal decision. A dive is trying to convince the referee he was fouled and should get a pen. You'd have to be a moron or have an agenda to reach that conclusion. Maybe both I suppose.

Money well spent (if he can say injury free) shows a lot of class. Sending off was ridiculous. Just needs to stay injury free and we've got a great player here who will develop.

For those who run often and play sports, he clearly takes a misstep and falls over as like he was going to get hurt or something but ended up being fine. Almost like a bail that a skater does.

I am being honest, if that happens to our opponent I would say it should be a dive and yellow. The fall motion did start too late and make it look awkward to me. It could be unintentional but it doesn’t look like a normal fall.

But then if it’s a second yellow then the referee should be much more cautious before handing it out.

Unlucky boy. May be next time he should get up earlier and tell referee he is not asking for a penalty.

At no point does he ask for the penalty, he seems to stay down more in annoyance with himself

And the ref doesn't immediately give the yellow card, it's only when that rat and his team mates surround and pressure the ref then he decides to give the yellow card

You are being lenient towards a disgusting bit of refereeing

Came here to ask the question. That's fucking ridiculous that like. Utterly ridiculous.

At no point did he ask for a penalty. Slightest of touches from the keeper BUT the main thing is him jarring his left foot when he planted it. That's why he went down .

Zero simulation

Zero intent

No yellow.

Absolutely no idea wtf you were looking at.

Was there contact? Seems to be almost zero focus on that and from certain angles it appears there was.

So potential contact + no appeal + the referee appearing to apply total guesswork as to whether it was a dive or not. Sound.

It’s almost like he processed it through the “cartel filter” thank fook for justice last night. Made it all the more sweeter!
