I played centre forward for a non league team (pub team) about 45 years ago. We were playing in a semi final against the equivalent of Man City. We "pressed" them from the the first minute to the last and stuffed them 3-1. The most amazing outlook on that performance was the absolute shock on the opposition faces. They had never experienced that before. Yes, I scored two. 😁

TRon
The release clause amount will be interesting. I doubt we'd have bid that much unless we thought we thought there was a good chance we could get the money back. £50m wouldn't be too bad for him, gives him a chance to get out if another big club comes calling. TRon
I wonder if there is a release clause in there. Signing a deal until 2033 seems madness if he has any ambition of playing for a bigger club.

Wouldn't expect us to be in for him either way until next summer if we return for him. Unless we have major issues with Wissa and Woltemade.

I’d imagine the relegation release clause would be much less and much less though. He’ll be gone at the end of the season, due to either release clause. I doubt he’ll be coming here though, unless we mange to cash in on Osula and/or Wissa.

Yeah the Newcastle ship has sailed, I think we would have went for Wolt anyway if we had thought there was any chance of getting him at the time. If we are able to get our money back on him or make a profit and get someone younger, I think we might do that. Wissa has never been someone who I think has been a long term solution for the club. Aye. Still can't believe we got Nick. Ekitike probably would have hit the ground running with us too and been a more direct Isak replacement but Woltemade is such a unique striker and seems like a great character. Wouldn't be shocked if we are back for JSL if Wolves go down. That might well mean he didnt have a great season though and there also might be better options though by next summer. RUHRLYASLEEVESUP
He be kicking himself now I reckon, reminds me of when Chris Waddle had just signed for Monaco & my mate telling me "hes a mug, he could of been a supervisor at the sausage factory by now if he had stuck in" Just goes to show the grass isn't always greener

I have to score 15+ and look very good doing it, Cunha and Mbuemo went for less. Cant be more than 50-60, dont see why he'd set himself up for no move unless he's as in demand as Cunha. Stifler
I reckon he’ll fail at West Ham, just because every striker they sign does. You have to worry about Wolves, I can easily see them dropping through the leagues now. I’d say that would be a shame, but their fans are utter fucking cunts.
