Exactly what Strand would cost or slightly less. I’d always defer to Eddie’s judgment but we’re end of August now and the targeting of proven 7/10 PL players strategy is just costing us points now.

JSL is better than Kean. Neither will be “elite” if that’s the word we’re using.

It's horrible and this transfer window should never be repeated. However, we just need a good striker in, and SL is that. It's already cost us 5 points this season.

 

I still think we'll also sign Wissa or someone else, because Isak goes.

I’ve posted this anecdote before but in the book The Secret Footballer one of the chapters kinda dispelled the myths of the bidding process. Basically the fee is agreed in private then both clubs agree on a strategy for the sellers to make it look like they dug in and the buyers made to look like they’ve getting a bargain.

 

Don’t think this anecdote applies in the Premier League anymore. Especially with us
