We have 5 days to plan for our champions league campaign, it looks like we could have lost 4 players already 2 games in, I just pray they have some sort of plan

Lost 4 players?

Was spending 60m on Isak who had 10 goals in his last 40 games 3 years ago madness?? Give Eddie and the kid a chance

He's 25.

And no it wasn't. Isak was played out wide in a low scoring team and was always highly rated hence him playing for Dortmund and Sociedad.

Isak is player who's always been regarded as having a high ceiling.

Strand Larsen scored 13 of 46 goals for Celta Vigo in the 23/24 season. That's 28% of the goals. He also had 3 assists. Not bad

Not bad at all. But again he's older than Isak was when we bought him doesn't have anything like the same skillset and is unlikely to improve much.

Again reflected in the fee wolves paid. But I'll just drop it here, if people are ok with 60m for him that's cool.

60m is what 40m was 5 years ago. If he does well with us, which I'm sure he will, no one will ever mention his price tag again.

People also need to get it out their heads that he is just a back up striker. Even if he ends up being the 2nd best striker at the club, he will still get significant game time and will likely feature in every fixture he's available for. We can't afford to have a yawning chasm of quality between our two strikers like Isak and Wilson last season.

£60m flop written all over this one. Hope I'm wrong. At this point though, we've got no choice in the matter. The club have fucked the window so badly that they've got no choice but to panic buy.

There's a reason Villa challenged the PSR cap of circa £130 million in allowable loses.

The market continues to inflate at a ridiculous rate. £130 million gets you no where these days. Clubs who are "PSR rich" are allowed to dominste the market, while clubs who are cash rich but PSR poor have to account for every penny.

Dortmund loaned him out then eventually sold him as they didnt think he was good enough. Eddie turned him into a 20 goal a season striker

Hes a very good player, under Eddie he might reach 20 goals a season.

Again, he will have sell on value. In 4 years time, when hes 29, I could easily see a scenario where we get 30m for him. Have a look at Wissa or Wood.

Its not a financially great deal, but its a fantastic footballing deal, given the place we are at.

If we end up with Ramsdale, Thiaw, Ramsey, Elanga and Larsen, we'll have done alright. The process of how we got there on the other hand...
