Manchester United vs. Newcastle United: 26/12/25 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)

Recommended Posts

We have to be up for this game no matter what. For me this game will be all about who can bring the intensity and sustain it and our midfield should be able out muscle theirs. The attacking three need to be pressing them, get their crowd on their back and they crumble.

If we pitch up like we did for our previous away games I'm throwing my TV out the fucking window.

It was Man United away last season at around the same time of year when I think we properly turned a corner. It would be brilliant if we could do that again

It was in the middle of that winning run (closer to the end really). Seem to recall we were brilliant in the first half but let them back into it in the second. Hmm. But aye, it would definitely make for an amazing start to what hints at being a potentially good run of results in our short term.

I don't have loads of faith that we've got what it takes to go on another one of those runs this year though tbf. Last time we were stricken at Brentford but were gifted with a genuinely kind run of fixtures to shake ourselves into gear.

The promoted teams being much more capable than last year's bottom clubs means there's been one less opportunity to gather momentum. Oddly the fixtures have matched the point in the season, only last year's Burnley/Sunderland was Leicester/Ipswich, both of whom were utterly crap and we pulverised them both; the good feeling seasoned with a morale-boosting cup win against a disinterested Brentford. And that was us away.

We're so stop-start this year and no one is really helping us out. Maybe ManU can.

Cunha is their only threat with all their injuries and afcon absentees. Keep him quiet and we'll get a result here.

Can't discount Mount, sometimes he turns up as does Cassimero, but our Midfield should be able to deal with them.
