Newcastle United vs. Crystal Palace: 4/1/26 @ 15:00 (Sky Sports)

Recommended Posts

One thing we seem to miss out on (no doubt someone will prove me wrong) is we never seem to play a team at the right time (manure away was that last month and we didn't capitalise) Think this is the weakest palace have looked all season. Lot of chat about their captain, manager and striker, plus results are tailing off.

Should win this one.

Probably Villa first game of the season as they were way off the boil to begin with. Turns out, so were we. I also think this though. We even managed to play West Ham in the 3 week period they looked competent

Nah I agree, I've thought this all season long.

Probably only other example was running I to Forest at the tail end of the Ange misfire when they were in disarray. Generally though it does seem like we run into teams that are bang in form or who've just turned a corner.

3pm kick off on a Sunday?? Normally they're either 2pm or 4.30pm.

Token gesture of giving Palace a bit longer as they had to play last night.

Elanga very close to being back as well according to Howe.

Good. Even if he's had a rocky start to his NUFC career, he's a great bench option.

We should have the legs to make this a fairly comfortable game as long as we play the ball with bravery and a bit of élan.
Get our aura back.

Would fancy Willock to start this one. Carries the ball upfield well and is fairly press resistant (he used to be, anyway…).

And with Palace sniffing around him, it's an ideal chance to show them what he can do

Same back 5

Ramsey - Bruno G - Joelinton

Murphy - Wolte - Gordon

That’s what I think it will be. Hopefully Tino fit to be on bench and come on after 55 to take load off Hall.

Barnes has to start tomorrow ahead of Gordon. Don't know what the fucks up with him but he needs to be benched for a few games until he sorts out his attitude.

Nowt against Barnes, far from it, but still think Gordon, overall, is our best and most productive wide man.

Only thing I'd really level against him is that he hasn't got a close enough friend to tell him "Anthony that headband makes you look a complete and utter tit. Get rid FFS"

Any chance the snow causes issues? I seem to remember a game called off years ago due to icey conditions around the stadium.

Charlton at home in 05/06
