I can't believe we're playing again tomorrow. I'm fucking exhausted. [emoji38]

As it stands, excluding International breaks, we won't have had a full week off between games from the 13th September until the 14th February, if we finish in the play-off in the Champions League, which we are very likely to do, that date goes to the 4th March, and it'll be the 7th March if we make it to the 5th round of the FA Cup, and if we make it to the last 16 of the Champions League, it'll be the start of April

We've won five of our last six with that ref. One was the Spurs Carabao game where Schar scored from the corner when the guy had his boot off or whatever they were complaining about. Some defeats going further back, but also the 1-0 win against Man City in the Carabao in 23/24

It's an omen!

There's too much football tbh.

I think our fixtures have been a little fortunate in the sense we play other teams who also have hectic schedules, i.e Liverpool, City, Villa and Spurs.

Might see some very dull games in those with players suffering from fatigue on both sides.

It's understandable given the amount of big games we've played in in the last couple of years, and this intense period of home fixtures we're in right now, but it would have been hard to imagine just a few years ago that the excitement levels would be so tepid on the eve of a cup semi final.

It will ramp up once inside the stadium I'm sure.

Yes ridiculous isn't it. By the end of this month we'll have played 13 cup games so far. Mackems played two with most midweeks off!

Tonali will probably start, although should probably be rested this game having played 120 mins. I don't mind seeing Bruno play number 6 with Ramsey and Joelinton in front of him. Ramsey in particular deserves more game time with his recent showing.

Don't think a draw would be a disaster tbh. Makes the second leg a one off game albeit away. Plus, last season we'd a horrid record at the Emirates going into the 1st leg at Arsenal. Low and behold...

That's the spirit. I wouldn't take a draw because I believe we can win at SJP and hold them down there, but you probably don't sniff at anything that keeps you in the tie.

Also never doubt this team's ability to step up. Burn will be a loss, mind. Fucking injuries.

He seems very tired and fed up these days.

Not wrong about the one game thing though.

Weird it's over 2 legs.

The entire competition, minus the semi final is 1 game, so why bring it in during the semi finals?

What a weird and unnecessarily barbed response.

Aye, like Eddie was super complimentary to him. And he was a sarcastic asshole back to him.

It’s an odd response regardless. But the bloke phrased the question terribly.

Howe is clearly paying them a compliment about playing them over 2 legs and mentioned how they make slight tactical changes every game.

The guy has made out like Howe said City change their style and tactics purely to combat us and specifically, Eddie Howe
