I'm not saying its a must win, but I'll be letting everyone know my thoughts in the Howe, Elanga, Wissa, Gordon, Woltemade and Ramsey threads if we dont win.

Trust we'll be saved from your sunny demeanor in the match thread then? 😉

Yeah I'm gonna skip it :)

Enjoy

How is anyone miserable about this game? After the season we had last season and the up and down nature of it all this season, the champions league has been a joy. The toon against the European champions in their own back yard ffs. Have we ever played an against European champions before (edit - in Europe)? Come on, let’s get a grip folks

Fucking into these. I think I’m guilty of the same thinking as the players this year where I’m caring more about the Champions League. We haven’t had too many famous evenings this season, time for one tomorrow IMO

Would go Elanga, Gordon and Wissa for this. There should be plenty opportunities to press and counter - they might just pass through us but it’s more our style. Save Barnes for the weekend and give him a start on the left.

I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised to see us pick up a few unexpected wins over the coming weeks.

PSG have been playing football without a break for nearly a year and a half so if there is any team more tired than us it’s them. Still will be a tough task.

PSG also rotate 9 and 10 players between league and CL - at least they did last season

Quick look at their last couple of games.

PSG still have the French wonderkid regen hack. Mbaye whow was great in the AFCON (born and raised in French - funnily enough he's Senegalese & Morrocan heritage and won with Senegal), another lad called Masalu or similar. Zaire-Emery and Doue still bairns

Great opening post @HaydnNUFC. It was actually nice (bizarrely) to re-watch the highlights from the last time. Was left  with a feeling of incredulity (partly that we’d kept them at bay, but still mainly from the pella decision) but nowhere near the gut-punch despondency of the night. Both then and now had a massive sense of pride in the team. What an effort, particularly in the injury ravaged circumstances.

I'm mot sure about that team mind. I certainly wouldn't drop our 2 highest scores in the competition. Saying that, Woltemade will get a lot more time on the ball I think.

Just read Liverpool have one CB available for our game. No reason we can't get a result here or Anfield tbh

They’ll just play Endo.

I mean it’s definitely better for us if it’s him rather than Konate or Gomez, but he’s played there a few times before, so I wouldn’t class it as a massive game changer.

If something were also to happen to Van Dijk mind…

Remember these at home man? I know it's not the same but that night it just felt like we were back, like really back. What a game.

What a night. Felt to me like we were somewhere we’d never been before, like we’d unlocked a new tier, and I was at ‘that’ Barca game.
