Newcastle United vs. mackems: 22/3/26 @ 12:00 (Sky Sports)

Th Strawberry opens at 9am for early kick offs going by their social media but are they allowed to serve alcohol? Or do they have to do that woke bollocks of serving food and/or waiting until 11am?

Any idea which bars in town are opening early for this?

Spoons in 9am on Sunday's with food or 10am without. But former might be pushed back to 10am for the derby. Hope not!

Sgt Peppers opening at 10am.  A few weeks ago the guy behind the bar at Bealim House said that they were opening at 9am but don't know if that's been confirmed.

What where the comments?

"We will wait and see (on Tonali). It is maybe not as bad as first feared as he was coming off the pitch."

"We will see how he is today and then make a decision closer to the game."

Usually the Weatherspoons are open, such as Five Swans at Haymarket.  They require you to order food to get a beer, no big deal to get a bacon sandwich or something....

Also The Centurion in Central generally opens early and again you would need to order food.  The breakfast stuff in Centurion is of considerable higher standard than the Weatherspoon muck!

---------------Ramsdale---------------

Tino------Thiaw------ Botman-----Hall

--------Joelinton-------Ramsey--------

--Murphy----Woltemade-----Barnes---

----------------Gordon-----------------

Woltemade will be the best option to break down a low block. Elanga is pointless against a low block so Murphy and Barnes on the wings because they are the best options for long rage shots which could be a way to break them down. Same back four as Chelsea, all comfortable on the ball.

Sliding doors game. We simply have to win and any other result is unacceptable.

Criminal we've not beat these cunts on Tyneside since the 5-1 or at all in the league since Ryan Taylor's free kick. I'd absolutely love us to batter them but it'll be a shite game and the first goal will likely win it.

Have to make sure it's us. Going into a 20 day gap with no game, if we lose I dread to think what the feeling will be. It more or less kills the season too.

Just fucking win.

Not a chance he won't start Burn for this. But agreed Botman probably should come in. Imagine he might go Burn & Botman possibly and give Thiaw a rest after a rough night the other day.

But really it should be same back 4 that kept a clean sheet against Chelsea if we want the best chance of winning.

Probably be Trippier starting aswell.

Botman and Burn are open to being ripped to shreds by pace. Admittedly, I don’t know if Sunderland have any quick forwards to be fearful of.

I agree. Just with Burn's boyhood connection to this fixture, coupled with Howe's love of his leadership. I just think based on everything we have seen so far from Howe, there is zero chance he benches Burn for this fixture. Same probably applies to Trippier, however I'd be less shocked if he opts for Tino.

No pace unless they bring Mayenda on but more likely to start Brobbey who's an old style grappler.
