Is this the guy who was close to tears before the first Carabao Final?

No, that was Bobbydazzla after he'd dropped his big bag of honk down the pisser.

I’m upbeat for this, think we’ll be stronger in every position and just need the right mentality to fuckin hammer the cunts back to zombieland.

If we can outperform Barcelona for a game and a half, then we can shitcan these mongrels.

Big breakfast and Holsten Pils will get me through it.

Just watched the 5-1 highlights again, amazing day that.

Slightly soured by when the 5th went in, the celebrations in the row in front of me in the gallowgate caused them all to fall into the aisle (is what it is, laugh it off, get up, we're all buzzing), only for the bloke on the end to accuse someone who fell of touching his daughter in the ruckus, cue some shoving, shouting, and "I'll see you outside after", very odd, all definitely Newcastle fans like!

Anyway, anecdote aside, how the fuck has it been 16 years since we beat them at SJP man, fucking disgraceful that, appreciate there's been a few years we didn't play them but still, has to end tomorrow.

There's my biggest concern right there. I just don't feel enough of our lads have it. Hope they prove me wrong tomorrow like.

Dreading it to some degree. Mainly due to how long it's been since we beat them in the league. Seen far too many games where we "should" have won but failed to turn up. The same can be said of this Newcastle team many times this season.

They are everything we seem to struggle against really. Every time a team sits in and makes us have to create something against a low block we look creatively impotent, particularly without Bruno's passing.

Having said all that, really hope the lads can use the disappointment of earlier in the season, the embarrassment of Barcelona 2nd half and channel it into a real performance to be proud of tomorrow.

Win it and we are right in the mix for a European place, 3 weeks off to train and recuperate for those not on internationals and key players back for our run in.

Lose and it doesn't bear thinking about.

Can't really get on with the hype video posting on social media, as much as I obviously understand building it up.

There's no excitement for me in terms of it being a derby, it's just a massive game with all the pressure on us. We owe them from that dismal effort in December, we have to respond to what happened in midweek, and it's a huge opportunity to gain ground and genuinely have hope of another Champions League finish. They're massively injured and it's basically a free hit for them.

We just have to deliver. No excuses.

I'm hoping the faces I saw on TV clapping the Newcastle fans in Barcelona realised what is required on Sunday.

Crowd need to do our bit tomorrow too

All on the players and manager this - I’ve never been to a derby without an atmosphere.  Their failure to turn up at the SOS was pretty much unforgivable - do that again and they’ll be in for it.
