Strangely I don't think that match was that different than our usual fare this season. We played through the middle a bit more and there was more one touch stuff, but we followed the same pattern of sprinting out of the blocks then easing off then playing with fire a bit. We've played as well or better than that this season and come up short, so it was very nice to get the win.

Thought our players all faded, understandably, but thought Thiaw, Ramsey, Osula were all very good.

Osula in particular is unrecognisable from the player we signed, that rawness has gone but the desire is still there, really impressed with his improvement.

Could have won 5-0 or drawn 3-3. We must be entertaining for the neutral to watch.

So nervy at the back every time, even a 3 goal lead we look capable of messing up.

Played so many games this year that I genuinely can’t remember what our results were against Spurs

2-2, 1-2

Not gonna lie, lads, genuinely grateful as fuck for that. We can still fuck this up,  but I truly am getting too old for this shit, and every little helps. Expecting Chelsea to get a new manager bounce on Tuesday, but praying we can squeak a draw to take the pressure off my coronary arteries.

Hope yous go down.

Better, but still poor.

Chuffed for Nick and Osula, but the rest was pretty meh. Some great moves up the middle first half. Bruno was great until he got howked on the deck and lost his cool.

I don't think Lewis Hall is match fit. He's deffo not himself.

Agreed. Last two wins have really been lipstick on a pig IMO.

Goals change games etc but I've seen too much of this side to believe in my heart that was the reason.

Botman and Callum Wilson going stride for stride. Bruno and Willock having a tiff. All is not well.

If I was a betting man, I reckon Newcastle will be closer to a Spursy season next year than pushing for Europe.

Thank goodness for Will Osula. [emoji38]

I’d agree with Keane there tbh. It’s all well and good throwing everything at us in the last ten minutes when we’re set up to defend and content with what we’ve got. They never ever looked like overturning the lead

Willock can fuck off. Shouldn't play for us again. Wanker. Wouldn't mind if he actually provided anything.

Best of luck with the last lap of the season. I would be surprised if things don't go your way now.

Thank you. I’m hoping we get a couple of players back. I fully expect West Ham to win on the last day and if we can’t get

a point ok Tuesday I’ll be a fucking mess.

The football was a lot better today. You can really tell the difference when a lot more of the technical players on the pitch. It’s obvious we need to move in that direction if we are going to compete consistently.

Thought Ramsey in particular was a bright spark in CM.

Is Alonso coming in now rather than end of season? Reckon they'll win both remaining games if he is.

Don’t think he’ll actually come in and do anything, but you know the players will have been geed up a bit by the whole thing.

Thought Woltemade showed some lovely touches, but also a bit frustrating. Really happy he scored.

Ramsey seemed to be operating in a bit of a free role off the left. He was more involved and got onto the ball in some

great areas. A bit sloppy at times when he was deeper, mind.

Botman was miles better than he has been for quite some time.

Pope made some top saves.

Osula keeps getting better. Elanga keeps getting worse.

Mostly positives today. But Jesus Fucking Christ. We still have no idea how to see a game out. Looked like attempted match fixing for a 10 minute spell when it was 3-1

Really comfortable win. Once we went 2-0 we naturally eased off.

Some of the one touch passing we played in the first half was as good as weve played all season. Of course West Ham were god awful while defending but weve often allowed sides off the hook this season, so it was nice for us to punish them.

Its clear as day that weve improved as soon as weve gone back to playing 1 game a week. There were clear passing patterns and sharpness, like they've been training properly.

Ramsey has real quality, id love to see him playing in the 10, when Nick isnt there. 2 proper wingers today and we would have scored more.

Osula is good, but is he good? A big money offer for him is going to be some decision to make because there are signs that hes now a proper PL forward but... is he ever going to be that next level? Tough call. Its been great watching him grow.

Superb to see Trippiers send off and the fans getting behind our best gaffer in 20 years.

Lets hope the next time we play at home, weve got some real excitement about the future.

Sorry can't read this and watch my "tv" can anyone tell what system we were playing? From watching big nick and Ramsey were all over the place (in a good way).

Bruno was excellent was such a good team performance obviously we all know the scale of the rebuild can't be done in one window but hopefully something to build on here.
