Great first half!

Now for the second half... 😅

I think we will be okay. West Ham needed to take one of the chances created during the one period of pressure they had. But they didn't.

We've played well - got off to a good start with two good goals and whilst they've come back into it a bit, we look comfortable and dangerous on counter. :)

Osula proving a real handful for us again.

Ramsey drifting infield and showing for that forward pass massively helps. They’ve been shit and were even worse before changing formation. But the passing has still been much slicker.

I've wanted this system for ages. There's so much more playing depth and angles of space to play into. As well as making us unlikely to have too many midfielders in too advanced positions at times. Also a closer link for the CM to play into feet.

Sounds like we played well. Hate to ruin things but I just got in and I’ll be checking out the 2nd half now. Historically speaking this has been a bad idea

As bad an idea as calling a senior Saudi’s lass a chocolate lab?

Amazing what some extended, uninterrupted training can do, just a shame that it's needed us to come out of all cup comps to get to it. Emphasises the need for greater quality depth across the squad though imo.

Been out and about, what's the formation/system change?

Is it a 4-2-3-1 again? Is Ramsey playing on the left like the BBC suggests?

Whatever it is, its very fluid. Ramsey and Barnes both wandering and going central. Bruno bossing it at 8 when we break their lines.

Would Howe rotate though? 🤣

In fairness to Howe, I think the fact Bruno got injured and Osula was injured as well as strikers not performing kinda fucked with it. The personnel was always kinda messed up somewhere. I do think it's much more suitable though and would definitely sign players next year with it in mind.

Yup, been desperate for him to try it all season. Guess it's good we've got there in the end. Seems to suit the players so much better.

We've played well but West Ham had totally fucked it tactically in the first 20 odd minutes. Some nice one and two touch. The 4-2-3-1 looks the future for us . It looks as centrally stable as we've been all season. Ramsey has been given licence to come off the left and overload it centrally. Looking at the future we could put big Joe in there for games where we'd expect less possession. Important to push on, control it this second half and get a couple more to send the support home on a high
