What I liked about Gordon and it's a fairly underrated thing in general imo, is how good he could be in relieving pressure across the midfield and defense by getting defenders to dive in and win free-kicks from them. That direct pace and off-the-ball movement is something we leveraged really well during his time here, albeit considerably less during the final months of the season. But I agree, if we had more technical quality on the ball for that wing, it does open the possibility to a more effective overall attacking style for the team.
