Waited 4 weeks for the winners shirt to be sent out and it's finally coming today. Problem is we are setting off on holiday so are going to miss the delivery. My daughter wanted it to wear on holiday so is gutted. Bloody typical!

Sven Botman: Could Return vs Ipswich (Tindall)

I predict bench v Villa -
We should have nicked Hell's Bells before St.Pauli got it. It's pretty awesome as the bells start chiming around the Millerntor just before kick off. That said Local Hero, though initially nothing, has become intrinsically linked to SJP and Newcastle and can be quite emotional at times.

Be great to have him back as an option. Bench getting stronger too. -
Just in time. If there's any position on the pitch we're lacking back up it's CB.

Coupled with that chiseled teak physique and suave looks too I hope!

It was bizarre. I looked it up before I posted it and it was the 2-1 defeat on 17 April 1995, exactly thirty years ago (yesterday). Seems like yesterday! I was only 20. 😭 I miss those days of short, pithy spontaneous terrace humour - seems like these days chants/songs are more robotic and every team just sings variants of the same. The two responses to the original post suggested shoe-horning current players names in, which kind of defeats the point and makes it something different.

Sometimes you see Bruno and Tonali playing close to each other as a ‘double pivot’ as I think it’s called. Bruno looks very effective and comfortable like that. I think if we got a player in the style of Cunha who is a physical 10 type then the formation could effectively change to a 4 2 3 1.

Sven Botman: Could Return vs Ipswich (Tindall)

Always makes me laugh when people suddenly become medical experts on players when they haven’t got a clue what’s actually going on - only the player and medical team will know exact details. He’s had his ACL surgery which by all accounts has gone very well. The second op was a knee scope to remove a loose body, it’s fairly easy to recover from as it’s not structural. If he’s fit to return for Ipswich then great 👍 -
Because of the connection it stirs the soul for me. Not sure what else I'd have in it's place tbh Thunderstruck (no remix) I used to enjoy. Fucking hated new radicals with a passion.
-
He'd be very Man United or Chelsea.
-
That’s what I mean. It hardly stirs the soul. If it didn’t have the connection it’s not a tune I’d go out the way to listen to…..da de da dee daaa. Music to make a cup of tea to

I don't think there's another CB like him in world football. We'll never be able to replace him like for like. His finishing, ball striking and passing range are better than most midfielders.
-
-
this 100%. we need to be on the lookout for a centre back with at least some of his passing range. it’s a rare thing though

The doylem that posted the photo reckons he said something to the lad. Makes it even worse (if true). “Eya meeat, why are you wearing a newcassul top?” They get themselves in such a tiz about us. They are hurting very badly.

£3.5m a whole £500k more than Fabian Schar
