  1. Past hour
  2. Pathetic, powderpuff goalkeeping, like. Saved from the embarrassment of one of the worst howlers you're ever likely to see by a keeper. If the ref gave the goal there isn't a chance in hell the VAR is overturning it.
  3. Didnt Douglas say a while ago that the new RW was as good as ready?
  4. Feel for Targett; yeah, wages, blah blah... most honest pros like him want their career in football to include playing football and that's not been possible for him for seemingly years at this point. It'll be a bit shit spending your best years just trying to recover from one injury to the next, especially without any realistic prospect of getting into the team at the end of it.
  5. Which would just about be an acceptable excuse for the onfield ref, but the whole point of VAR is to assist where something is not as it may have appeared…
  6. I think Spurs are a bit like Man U, they have some good players in their squad but just not the right ones or the right plan to make a functional team. Probably a few that would get moves, not necessarily to us.
  7. They just took the easy option. Any mention of the elbow to Sandro?
  8. Kulusevski would be a quality signing. 10 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season.
  9. Shame. Do Spurs have anyone who would bring in a lot of money? Kulacevski is the only one I'd be tempted to go for but even he would be a bit underwhelming. Fallen a long, long way this season
  10. There’s no way Slot, Salah and Virgil let the performances slip.
  11. It wouldn’t from a footballing sense but will be from a PSR one. Getting in champions league would mean we’d almost certainly keep our stars and opens up signing more players at a higher quality, see Tonali for example.
  12. US owners flying over to discuss Farke's future Guardian are linking them with van Bronkhorst and Ancelotti's son as a replacement
  13. Extremely overly harsh to put his contribution down to just a "couple of good moments"
  14. ** pic taken when Targett was ruled out for the season
  15. It’s a holdover from when they used to play us so now they always feel like they have to appoint a new manager to win their big games.
  16. Ref Watch on SSN earlier, Stephen Warnock says its baffling Bruno's 'goal' was disallowed. Gallagher reckons its disallowed because Bruno turned his back on the keeper, which makes it look more of a barge.
  17. He's had the odd good appearance from what I can remember, but absolutely nothing like his performances when on loan at us. He seems to be regressing as a footballer month by month. Am I being overly harsh? Edit : He's had a good couple of moments that I can recall, the down-the-line cross into the box from the left, the outside of the boot through ball to Isak, and taking that shot from Almiron's dribble.
  18. But you'd expect those to score against us. We just seem to concede goals to strikers who don't score many (historically that is, not quite as much under Sir Eddie).
  19. Feel really bad for him as from what I've heard he's a lovely lad, but I can't see anyone taking the risk of ever signing him unless it's on a free for low wages.
  20. Fucking hell I wish they'd make their minds up - usually anywhere which doesn't have an NE1 postcode requires complex mackematics to work out the appropriate BW vs RW population %s
  21. Unlike those 3 he is a squad player and part of the group. Sures he’s probably paid a bit too much in wages, and his transfer fee is now too much given his role, but talent wise he’s absolutely fine for his role in the squad.
