Would he? Because it seems he’s on absolutely nowhere near that at the minute. Appreciate he’d want a significant rise, and tbh, so he should if he’s being bought for something like £40m+, but I think he would accept a lot less than that. Who knows though? All just hypothetical .

Mainoo will demand at least 150k/w and that rules out a move to us.

Had my heart set on Akliouche for the RW position but all the rumours yesterday are liverpool are looking at him

I get where your coming from but what’s to say Mbuemo can’t get even better playing with the likes of Isak and under the management of Howe? I do agree that all our signings can’t be big profile signings but I think Mbuemo would be an awesome signing, premier league ready, he’d help us beat the top teams away. That said if Mitchel has an option of the type you’ve outlined then I’m all for that too. I just hope we get CL to see what we can really do in the transfer market this window.

Newcastle United vs. Everton: 25/05/25 @ 16:00 (No UK TV)

I think the crowd is going to actually suck the ball into the net on Sunday 😂 -
Szobo was release clause. Mac Allister too, as part of a contract extension he signed earlier that year. Nunez was overpay. A fair bit of Liverpool's money is from overseas fans due to historic success. They vastly outsell Chelsea and Man City shirts etc. even when those teams are winning the league.

I don't watch La Liga, but he's dropped off a bit this season by the sounds.
-
If they do, many will find a way to make the prospect of well rested, desperate to impress youngsters terrifying.
-
Pretty much how I'm feeling with it too. However, I've just seen the long sleeve pics, and my cock could now cut diamonds.
-
Agree with this, I wouldn't be unhappy if we got Mbuemo but at the same time I think we need to be more strategical with our money. We also need to look at central midfield because we lack goals from that area to take us to the next level imo.
-
There's not much risk with Mbuemo, but there isn't much reward either. He's highly unlikely to get better at this stage, so we get what we get and prey it's worth the astronomical PL-premium we'd havet to pay. If we bought him, and he had a good season, I don't think he'd be a big improvement in terms of numbers on what Murphy has provided us this season. I'd rather we took a calculated risk on someone cheaper and younger that could potentially become better than Mbuemo, while leaving us with more to spend on other positions as well.

I'm not missing anything about his stats. I see one season where he massively outscored his xG compared to his previous career. And his underlying numbers really don't scream that we MUST sign this soon 26 year old for +£60m. I'm sure he'll be a decent pick up wherever he goes but I don't know if the risk/reward is there for us.
-
Nah, didn't know him on registration day. Turned out he was alright. And we didn't know in 87 what would happen in 90 🙄🤕🤒
-
Any chance Everton let their reserves or youth play this? I'm confident we will get it done but Everton literally have nothing to play for so would they give some new blood a run out?
-
Anyone who's genuinely flapping about this game just isn't up to speed with who we are now! Something freakish will have to happen on Sunday for us not to win, we are too good to let this slip. Most likely outcome is its done and dusted after 20-30 minutes and we are out of sight, enjoy.

I house shared with a Washy Mackem in my final year at Uni in 1990. Try that!

We've done a fair bit of talking about games we should've got more out of, but it's worth reflecting on those points we got that didn't feel major at the time but certainly are now. Bruno stabbing in the only goal at West Ham the game before the cup final stands out to me. Schar and Barnes smashing in the equaliser and winner at Wolves too. And the 4 points we got from behind down at Forest and Bournemouth look a lot more meaningful half a year later too.

Apologies mate if I didn't really make much discussion. I'd lost my wedding ring during all the shenanigans with various flags and I wanted to be home to watch the Inter game with the Mrs. After 6 hours in last night and 2 tonight (before tomorrow) I had to be sure to keep the peace Thanks again for your hard work tonight and i'll probably catch you next time properly -
Aye they are choosing, we have to wait for scraps. Another consequence of these stupid rules.
