Exactly what you want from a central defender
-
A bit out of left field - Tapsoba from Leverkusen. 2nd/3rd July, something like that.
-
People should read up on Diomande, he’s very much an aerial threat who can dribble but very safe basic passer of the ball. Dont think he profiles with what we want to do long term in that position.
-
What's the prediction for first signing then? I'll go with Elanga. Although wouldn't be suprised if it was Trafford either.
-
I like both but always adidas over Nike.
-
Haven’t checked for a while but isn’t it much closer to 35 than 30?
-
Smacks more of liverpool offering us a player (+cash) for Isak.. no thanks .
-
I know this is probably in jest, but I love comments like this like we know exactly what other companies where offering, and if they'd even offer anything as close to the £30m a year that Adidas does
-
He’s about as reliable fitness wise as Wilson.
-
Adidas clearly putting there resources into the new Liverpool and Oasis kit launches. Fucking hideous what they’ve produced this season for us. Silverstone out should have gone with Nike for more money.
-
Euros. So just over £30 million. We got around the same for Minteh. Why is this such a surprise?
-
Shame that it's probably bullshit. Would love him here. Him and Isak would be class.
-
Skysports said he will only move to Liverpool if hes first choice.
-
Konate will almost certainly be off next season though so he could get more games than you think
-
Would love to see the revenue taken in from these 38k seysun cards sold, the number of cheap kid ones will be off the scale. Not a bad thing of course but there’ll be plenty not getting used when winter bites and Dad is on the night shift at Nissan.
-
I'm not saying that Guehi would reject Liverpool but is he getting in ahead of van Dijk or Konate? I don't see Slot splitting up his title-winning rearguard straight away. And therefore would Guehi leave Palace to be the #3 for one season?
-
It makes sense when you look at it as a PSR scam. Both clubs agreed to overpay.
-
Might be a good idea to go for that Diomande they are looking at as a replacement for Guehi if we are likely to face competition from Liverpool for Guehi's signature.
-
Yeah. Like a collection of 5 min appearances is enough to make a judgement.
-
Yes, I did mention paying double their wages was the key factor. It's also why the cartel clubs are trying to ensure PIF are prevented from doing that, let's be honest.
-
The bold bit we can go round in circles arguing as we’ll never know, but I disagree. When a player views a move as a stepping stone, as long as it’s to a PL club, I think they’ll choose the one that offers the best release clause (assuming there isn’t a massive discrepancy in wages). It’s all about how they’ve mapped their careers out. We’re trying hard to establish ourselves with the elite (despite being massively handicapped by the rules), so it’s no good allowing the perception of the club being a stepping stone in any way. Having said that, if a player were to ask for a release clause where, if activated, the money would be genuinely transformative, that’s different, and I can probably get on board with it (so if Isak said ‘I’ll sign a new contract but I want a release clause of £150m’, then fair enough).
-
You’ll be missed Kaka.

U21s in quarters against Spain tonight. I've been thoroughly unimpressed by most of the England squad we've seen. Tinos been good going forward but defensively sus at times. Going forward Rowe has been poor. Mcatee and Elliott are very technical and offer little physicality. Hutchinson is better, dynamic and direct. Can't even remember who's in centre mid 😂 keeper has been good for a lad with a shrunken hand. Defensively Gray doesn't look like a right back, Quansah is ok, carries the ball well but defensively not great and the other CB is just a lump 😂 Shit forgot Anderson. He's been great. A Bruno regen. I want to cry every time he plays.
