Yes. This is what the table looked like after we lost 4-2 to Brentford in December GP GD Pts 1 Liverpool 15 18 36 2 Chelsea 15 17 31 3 Arsenal 15 14 29 4 Man City 15 6 27 5 Forest 15 1 25 6 Aston Villa 15 0 25 7 Brighton 15 3 24 8 Bournemouth 15 3 24 9 Brentford 15 3 23 10 Fulham 15 2 23 11 Tottenham 15 12 20 12 Newcastle 15 -2 20 13 Man Utd 15 1 19 14 West Ham 15 -8 18 15 Everton 15 -7 15 16 Leicester 15 -9 14 17 Crystal Palace 15 -6 13 18 Ipswich 15 -13 9 19 Wolves 15 -15 9 20 Southampton 15 -20 5 -
Start the game like we started on Sunday and we'll win it within the first 30 mins. Don't think they'll offer much resistance if we score one early, the place should be absolutely bouncing and scoring early eases all of the nerves and makes a Pickford worldie an irrelevance. They're weak defensively, their full backs are shit and they're poor at CF. Score early and we'll breeze past these cunts

He scores goals. Thats a major problem almost solved. He’s a ‘bit of magic’ goalscorer too.

I get it😅😅😅 I am editing that

Any member of the crowd not up for this confiscate their tickets! -
If the crowd and team is up for this in the way they were up for Spurs 6-1, PSG, and the Arsenal semifinal then Everton frankly have no chance. Hopefully there's an early goal and then we make it comfortable because it will definitely get nervy in the second half if we're not winning by 2+.

Yep to both. It was a shame possibly our two best open play chances fell to him. With his shot, he actually struck it a lot better than I expected, but that says more about my expectations of him as a striker given it was straight at Raya. It's a real weakness in his game as it stands, and it would add a lot if he can improve there.
-
What was special about his game last season was how aggressive he was in every part of his play, he was popping up with key goal contributions in big matches and his self-belief made him often times unplayable. We're not seeing that this season. It's glaring.
-
I agree, you don't want to make too many changes in one window. It's easier to swap out your players in windows where you don't have to make a bunch of other moves silmutaneously. This is why Chelsea struggled after their first few windows under their new owner, although ofcourse they were quite extreme.
-
In a situation where you want to sell he is worth what other clubs wants to pay. If he is worth 60m+ to us then we probably won't sell, because I'm not seeing what team would pay big money for him right now. There are a lot of wingers out there.

Yeah, I was at the game yesterday and we had to score during that early period. Their crowd was really nervous and quiet during that phase, and they were starting to get on the players' backs. If we had scored it would have got toxic and I think they would have folded. Not sure how it looked on TV, but Tino had to do better the two times he was set up perfectly. Didn't strike it well enough the first chance after a brilliant back heel from Gordon, and that outrageous play by Botman to carry it forward and thread him through, he doesn't go with enough conviction once he gets the ball. Really frustrating. Raya's save from Barnes deflected shot was really good too. Couldn't believe he got fingers on it. Was sat behind that goal and it looked a certain goal.

The way I judge an attacking player is what skillset do they possess if they lose their pace (possible serious injury)? Our best players across the pitch - Isak (finishing), Tonali (anticipation, set pieces), Bruno (press resistance, through balls), Botman (heading, passing, anticipation). Even Barnes (elite finishing) and Murphy (crossing, shooting),albeit an inferior player, offers more attacking threat if pace is impacted. Gordon is becoming predictable without the likeability factor of our other players. Although I feel he can improve further and we shouldn’t seek to actively sell him, if there is a deal to be done we should take the money - more LW options out there in the market.

Like who ? Masonry Mount ?
-
His attitude has been awful since his dream move fell through last summer - out of our ‘big guns’, he’s easily the most replaceable - we’ve even got someone there now!

One final rally from a hostile home crowd please! -
He does, but he really doesn't solve their problems and costs a lot.
-
Just hate them getting good players. I want them to struggle for years to come. Regardless if it’s been known for weeks or not
-
If we don't sell anyone, aye.
- Today

I'd much rather get CL by earning it than by fortunate results from other teams struggling. It's firmly in our hands. Our staff/coaches/players need our support - regardless of who is playing, fit or hurt.
