Saw FGR at Xmas, and was really impressed by the family aspect of the club. I even had a vegan burger for my sins with a nice pint before the game. Poor parking facilities, but lovely area. Not sure what the hate for FGR is.

Bowen is shit in truth. He’s been rolled out for England and just sticks out like a sore thumb. Scores goals in Prem, but it’s clear it doesn’t translate well elsewhere and probably why no club has really made a push for him.

He's made 90 + appearances for Liverpool. I can't think of one player at a top team with that number of appearances and is not a regular starter, who has gone to another top team and done well. Same would apply to Rashford, Grealish, etc. Maybe a player moving from one country to another but not within England.

It's fine if you play it all the time, not so much when you've only ever used it as an adaptive system to play on the break or due to personnel availability like we have. Think part the reason we struggled second half against Chelsea was because we'd been set up in a 3-4-3 and then suddenly had an issue with the extra man and needing to be the more proactive side. I don't think I'd want to play it at home to Everton personally.

Think English teams will dominate for a while, but we weren't a million miles away from an Eintracht Frankfurt v Bodo/Glimt and Lyon v Athletic Bilbao Semi-Final this year which on paper sounds about right for the Europa.

Last August winning the League Cup and Europa league would have been deemed as a successful season by most. Perhaps it should still be, but with a home win against Everton between us and an even more successful season yes it's the worst thing that can happen to us, as things stand today. Personally I just don't want the Thursday/Sunday gig next season, but more importantly the club needs CL qualification to move to the next level and cement our place at the top of English football.

Yeah, we would need to lose by 4 in order for Chelsea to pass us, but you initially said 'plus we'd need to lose by 4 more than Chelsea', i.e. if Chelsea lost 0-1, we'd have to lose 0-5 (and that bit extra buffer), which isn't the case. If Chelsea lost 0-1 then we'd have to lose 0-4, so just 3 more than them. It seems you knew all the permutations, but didn't come across as clear.
