In 2012/2013, you spent £76 million. In 2012/2013, we brought in Vurnon Anita. My heart bleeds.
-
Yeah I'd say it'll be £200k for Cunha and Mbuemo, and we need to stop acting like that's some massive wage these days for established Premier League stars. I could understand if we were firing Rashford/Casemiro wages at these guys, but we're not.
-
I’m hoping to become the official NO flight ITK bullshitter tbh. I’ll set the kids up on Flight Radar looking for the most tenuous flights and then use an online randomiser to determine and transfer link.
-
The rules apply to you, of course, but have been a”greed” so the wannabe ESL clubs can batter and bully the other 14 clubs, and most of Europe, into submission with their baked in financial muscle. Anyone trying to force their way in like ourselves or Villa has to be 100% every time on and off the pitch, whereas the ESL clubs can be complete failures on it and still win off it. Sky Sports are absolutely loving this. It’s a wet dream for them as their favourite clubs (don’t even try to deny it Froggy with some piss poor logic) go gangbusters in the market, getting their shorts, videos and social media content ticking up. It’s no fun for them when we win.
-
Mate what the Glazers have taken out of our club could have bought your club five times over. It's not a good look trying to compare the two. But again, all the material is out there if you want educated.
-
Much worst? As in much worse than Ashley? Obviously fishing or you've had a lobotomy.
-
I think people get annoyed that the relentless financial mismanagement of your club, years of dire signings on galactic wages and holding ludicrous levels of debt has no real world consequences beyond arbitrary firing of low paid workers.
-
Now wait a minute Froggy, you are also better than this "Newcastle eyebrows were raised when the forward's representatives told those who made enquiries that he wanted to more than quadruple his £45,000 per week wages at Brentford." Cunha is something like 200 000k/week? Mbeumo will be pretty much the same of course.
-
Genuinely don't see the hype over Jobe. Granted I don't see him week in week out, but everytime I've watched him I've never seen him take a game by the scruff of the neck. Shows glimpses of quality here and there but that's about it. That being said he must have something if there's a handful of quality Jorman sides after him. No doubt he'll end up with the same dickhead ego as his brother before long.
-
Wouldnt be surprised at all to see a Cartel side go in for him
-
They're done well to get rid now then
-
There's no need to get into this again. There's enough material from respected columns for people to educate themselves on why The Glazers are much worse. I don't need to try and argue it with people who won't listen.
-
11 goals and 10 assists in a season when he was 22. He was considered to have a massive potensial back then, as he was already very good.
-
His point is still right re Ashley like. Highlighted by the list of players you're citing being non-Ashley signings (Joelinton aside)
-
Wasn’t he like barely 20 then though in a horrific Burnley side?
-
A fat chunk of the fee will go to us as well. Chunky sell on clause inserted when we sold Elanga.
-
Conveniently ignoring the £100m of sales last year I see. Most of which were pure profit sales. You're better than this fella. We also have no idea what Mbeumo will cost, and the talk is he wants 4x his £45k wages, which is £180k. It's not much more than what you've paid Gordon, Bruno, Joelinton etc. You even gave £150k to Lloyd Kelly. People need to stop acting like these players are getting handed Casemiro contracts.
-
We don't need a younger version of Murphy. We need a better version of Murphy.
-
I’d love us to sign McAtee. Think he’d offer some versatility too. Which I get the impression Howe is a fan of. Most coaches would be, TBF.
-
I’m not as down on Elanga as others on here. Rapid, can play off both feet, takes set pieces, decent numbers in a team that aren’t renowned for their attacking prowess (scored 10 less than us and joint lowest scorers in the top 10). But like Mbeumo, if he were to leave. He’d cost daft money and more than likely be after huge wages, too. I’d rather him over Semenyo (overrated) and Madueke (egg). But there’s no value or juice in any of the 4 mentioned here and looking abroad or a punt on someone younger or the Champo might be the way to go. May as well stick with our own juice on the right hand side.
-
We might look at Harvey Elliot too if they buy Wirtz? These players might not have the initial excitement as a Mbeumo but they would fit right into what we want as players at NUFC, plus with Howe’s coaching etc
-
With Ligue 1's broadcasting disasters, their clubs will be ripe for some low-balling you would've thought?
-
Would be funny if we did take the piss on June 29th or something. Even just a token £1m fee both ways just to make a mockery of some of the rules in place.
