I’m still lost as to why their response to Sam Fender’s music isn’t the same as mine - an indifferent shrug. Getting wound up about MOR pop rock is about as Mackem as it gets.

"Wendy, have you packed my Sunderland shirt and my jeans" "Aye" "That's me sorted for the week"

Turdinand. Absolute human faeces.

Delighted for Frank. Strikes me as a really nice guy and I hope he does nearly as well as us
-
Bruno also covers almost the most ground in the PL IIRC. Probably not as intensely mind.
-
Easiest explanation for extra running is Sandro. Does anyone have running stats for him? Kind of ironic that's its our cool-looking Mediterranean who bombs about all over the pitch.

The salad bar will be safe.

Nearly every topic descends into anti-mag rhetoric. There'll be a huge pile on and insults about everything Newcastle. Then the posts will end with how obsessed we are with them. There's absolutely no logic to anything they ever say.

Explains our preference for dynamic players over the technically sharp ones.

Another one who still thinks it's the early 2000s.
-
Pathos certainly the word

Could argue end of season really. A lot of pants pissing last summer when we didn't turn to a different defender after Guehi or sign an RW, but end of the day we achieved our goals and haven't spent money on someone we didn't particularly want.

Bournemouth are our kryptonite, so Semenyo's record vs. NUFC is P5 W2 D3 L0. One goal and two assists. For comparison, his combined record vs. Liverpool, Citeh, Arsenal, Villa, and Brighton is 20 defeats in 27 games. His record against Brentford even is P6 W0 D2 L4. The data is all comps.

Wanna take us through how over a decade of transfer windows under Mike fucking Ashley are remotely relevant to our current situation?
-
I can smell that photo. Not pleasant
-
Pretty interesting graphic given we seemed to be less intense this season.
-
I thought only Mags did this on holiday

Great, so there's another World Cup gone
-
Last time I built a FIFA team you only needed Tonali in CM to win the quadruple.
-
I like the idea of buying both Joao Pedro and van Hecke after their recent fallout

Brilliant post! I really don't understand their fascination with their 6 in a row trophy. Of course I don't begrudge them for enjoying winning against us, but they talk about it as if it was some golden era of mackem dominance. The wider context of those few seasons is that eventhough we were shit and on a death spiral towards eventual relegation, they were even worse for the majority of that time, they were a turd that wouldn't flush. Their MO was to get a new manager bounce in time for the derbies to beat a hapless Newcastle team and then scrape enough points against teams on the beach at the end of the season to stumble over the line. When they look back at that era, who are their heroes? Aside from Defoe, I can't imagine any of those players/managers from that period will be remembered fondly. The highlights of my Newcastle supporting life are winning the LC, qualifying for the CL multiple time and seeing us beat the likes of Barca, Juve & PSG, watching us go on deep runs in the Uefa Cup and seeing genuine world class talents wear our famous colours. Theirs will be what? A nonce scoring against us? A facist manager who they ended up hating sliding on his knees? All while they were scrapeing 17th in the league every season. Fine, let them have it. Also, I had no idea until very recently that we won 4 or 5 or 6 in a row against them or something like that since the turn of the century. I don't remember it ever being a big deal.

Also a much cheaper option with a bit more flair

I’d have Semenyo but he has the same problem Elanga, Pedro etc have, he’ll cost at least 50m, probably more like 60.
