I would bracket Prestianni as the same kind of transfer as Minteh. Seen as someone with big potential but nowhere near the finished article. Tonnes of raw ability though. I first heard his name mentioned last summer, and it seems like we’ve watched him a few more times since and do like him. Whether that turns into a bid, I don’t know. In terms of it being “vanilla”, I’m positive that there’ll be a lot more going on that we / this source doesn’t know about too. This is just what I’ve heard that has some legs to it.

I don’t want Rashford, but players seem to be leaving them and excelling now compared to what they’ve been doing there. A bit different to the past where players were dropping down. I’m not sure they have many players you’d actually want though. Mainoo? Garnacho might improve somewhere.

Makes sense. Very vanilla and can’t see us going for Prestianni, far too much of a gamble and, at 5ft5 doesn’t exactly fit the Howe athletic profile.

I don't think he'll sign a new deal and I do think he'll leave next summer. Hope I'm wrong.

Important disclaimer at the end there…

Thought the away kit was cracking. Always gonna pale in comparison to the original but it was nevertheless extremely smart. Worked great with the white rounded collar and I liked the difference in material been the two colours. Third was meh. Looked cool in the promos but that collar was one of the most ludicrous things I've ever seen on a kit. Best thing they produced last season was that special edition long sleeve top thing that wasn't a kit but should've been.

The only way I would be okay with this is if we got both Osimhen AND David in as his replacements and sold for over 140m. We’d be net better off, for 70m. Two top prolific strikers and half the money left over for the rest of the team. It’s highly unlikely of course.

Small tidbits of “news” I heard yesterday. Nothing groundbreaking, but nice to hear it from someone who should know more. Elanga is absolutely near the top of our list for RW (we’ve tried for him in the last two windows apparently), but we have been talking to West Ham about Kudus and Monaco about one of their wingers too (but can’t remember the name). Gianluca Prestianni’s name was mentioned (which I think I shared last summer), but he’s very young and seen as a gamble. Been watched a lot though, and potential of that one going further as “one for the future”. Guehi is absolutely still on the list but we’re facing more competition this time.

This I 100% agree with. They were complete blandifications of the kits they were imitating.
