Thought ManU weren't too bad yesterday Certainly prefer our last fixture to Villas as it stands.

Having the F.A Cup final before the end of the season should be illegal.

Aye, we should have won that game. I’m disappointed that we didn’t go for it a bit more for it in added time when they were totally done. A win there and we now only need 1 point. It is what it is though. I think we’ll get 3 points out of one of our remaining games. I honestly think we are more than capable of getting 6 points, and can certainly see us getting at least 4 points. For me the key was Chelsea. I honestly feared that we wouldn’t win that game. Fuckers had to snatch the win last night, why couldn’t they just fall away?

Enjoy your retirement Dwight. Enjoyable that one of the last acts of his career was getting Steve Bruce severely rattled

Tbh we’ve known we need a new keeper for a long time, presumably longer than Villa, so I would assume we’ve done the groundwork and know who wants to come. The top clubs butter up players and their families for yonks before signing them. That said García seems to be getting linked to everyone and there’s a long list of rich clubs that need a new keeper.

In fairness I watched it having said I wouldn’t and as a standalone nod to the original I enjoyed it! But as for the first there can be only one! -
It’s a decent point yeah. We should have won that game though really. They were there for the taking but we didn’t quite perform close to our best. Massive point compared to none, obviously.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)
The Prophet replied to Rich's topic in Football
This is it, a favour would have been nice, but it was always more in hope than expectation. We've kept it in our own hands, which is all you can ask really. On a side note, that point at Brighton is looking very decent. -
Would love to see Miley go through the Dortmund transformation, what they do with players is incredible. https://www.fearthewall.com/2025/4/23/24414696/transfer-rumors-borussia-dortmund-carney-chukwuemeka-brandt-gittens-reyna-sabitzer-bvb-bundesliga

Well said. Some just like to moan at Pope no matter what his performances are.
-
Maybe but we’re going to be CL and they aren’t so he’ll have a decision to make.

They’re paying bigger wages

Light bulbs… fuck Edison and his patent… light bulbs are Geordie (well sort of). Collingwood Street was first in the world with outdoor electric lighting thanks to Joseph Swan, Gateshead resident and member of Newcastle Lit & Phil who independently invented them. Also, I think, his invention was the first to enable electric lights in domestic homes as well. Stick that in your shit metaphor ‘socket’ Arteta! -

100% I can't believe it wasn't panned harder. The sharks it he Colosseum was a clear sign the film makers had not faith in their film or audience. -

And that's probably what's going to happen. No big changes, just small tweaks. -

Can't call this at all, don't think there will be much in it. -
Used to be a day trip to Alnmouth for us Firemen (twas all blerks, back then) Bus upto Alnmouth. Game of football on the beach Few beers starting at The Schooner Another game of football Bus down to Morpeth More beers Toon Had to scrap the 2nd match due to untimely tackling.....🍻🍺🍻🍺🍻

Win this and we qualify in anyway. It would take a 15 goal swing for Villa to finish above us. That would require us losing 7/8-0 against Everton, and Villa winning 7/8-0 against Man Utd. That is also assuming we only win by 1 goal as well.

Talking of Top Gunners, anyone thinking these lot won't be firing on all cylinders needs a wobble. I'd happily scamper away with a point. A win would be mind blowing, obvs
