We’re not winning the World Cup but we’ve got good players. The FA gave Tuchel a target of winning the World Cup. He is going to pick tried and tested players even if they’re over the hill because he’s got to get us qualified and ready in 12 months so can’t go with a major rework. Blame the FA for their short-termism.
-
He’s part of the chronicle so pinch of salt
-
Yeah, the over reaction to that game was crazy. At least he was trying something different. Instead of always just going with the same setups and players all the time. And like you said they were really good in the other games.
-
Yep, I feel sorry for the players having to go TBH.

No pressure on him then -
Fuck yes £500k a week off the wage bill
-
Never heard of Andrew Musgrove before, but going off that tweet, I assume he's a grifting bullshit merchant? On a scale of reliability from Burnsie to Ornstein, where does this guy sit?
-
What is Targett's value though, like £5 million?
-
Hope they have a soft ceiling, or at least wear helmets.
-
These matches have also come at a rotten time of the year. The season's just finished, people want to switch off from football for a bit.
-
Carsley actually was a good fit, and all the games bar one England dominated and played well He knew the players and apart from that crazy experimental game, most of his decisions made sense (even Angel Gomes played well in his games)
-
we signed him for £20m on a five year deal. After one year his book value is now down to £16m. So a sale for £10m now would represent a £6m loss for PSR purposes. What part of that do you think is incorrect?
-
Not really the same thing he was in & out the side that was largely a fitness thing because hadn’t played in a year

Started his first game less than a week after his ban ended didn't he? -
Not sure why he's being selected. Having said that when he was first picked there were some people on here that said he was a top player that they'd have at Newcastle!
-
Thought we would lose tonight, Senegal just too capable and dangerous and we're just working out who to play and what to do.
-
This is kinda what I meant in my earlier post about nobody giving a fuck about England anymore If the golden generation or a Southgate team got pumped rotten by Senegal the same week they stumbled over the line against a country the size of Doncaster there'd be a witch hunt. Now everyone just laughs it off with a "what do you expect, we're fucking shit" kinda attitude. I acknowledge that I live in a Geordie bubble and maybe theres more enthusiasm is parts of the country where their local teams are shit but it does seem like the apathy for the national team has never been higher. How any one can muster the strength seriously give a fuck about England is beyond me
-
Is the retro one the third? Hope we get a long sleeve release for that one too
-
Far too good to be wasting away his career at Neverton.
-
Southgate is chuckling somewhere.
-
Then couldn't get back into the starting XI when his ban was over.
-
I’ve always struggled to like Tuchel; he’s just rubber stamped this. He’s picked awful squads, poor starting sides, woeful motivation and a complete lack of structure. Oh, and dull as dish water football. The players need a break but there’s no real excuse for these performances. Dismal.

Good to see Senegal enjoying it. Means a lot to them.
