  1. Past hour
  2. Will never happen but I'd love Donnarumma here.
  3. I met him when he came for Sunday Lunch at the George in Chollerford. I know he had a rep for being a bit up himself at times but he was on great form that day, tipped pretty well. Also had Frank Clark in one evening for a private function, kept the bar open until 5 am for him and his party, he was decent on the old guitar. Then good ol' Sid Waddell and Jerome Flynn (on separate occasions), refused to be called sir and we're great company.

    Kieran Trippier

I'm just glad he got to win a trophy to show for his time here. Vindication for joining us when we were 19th.
  5. Izakaya

    St James' Park

Used to put Nightowls on to fall asleep as a bairn. Alan Robson had such a soothing voice.
  6. Are we putting an Ashley era player into the current squad or putting Howe back into the Ashley era here? Of the former then Remy would be in with a shout of the golden boot but I'll die on the hill with a flag saying HBA. If the latter then it would be Perez or Sissoko. Wildcard, Mbemba would have been interesting under Howe, really thought he was going to be the part for us

    Fabian Schär

He is a warrior I will give him that is always in the wars but rarely misses a game.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

He's the ability just not the consistency said himself he struggles to concentrate for 90 mins. I mean wtf - if that isn't a huge red flag I don't know what is.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Linked with Moise Kean again- not sure like 🤔
  10. But Townsend was excellent in his spell? I thought Sissoko was a good shout based on your parameters. He had his moments but was ultimately a disappointment imo. For players who never really cut it at all, maybe he could've unlocked Mitrovic's potential? He started okay but never really got a look in under Rafa then became a goal machine elsewhere.
  11. I'm not sure that Pep's heart is really still in it. I wouldn't be surprised if he left at the end of the season. I also wonder whether Phil Foden would be better off elsewhere. He was one of the best players of his age group in the world, and perhaps the best, but his game doesn't seem to have developed in the way that it ought, over the last 2 years. City's style is quite regimented, and I think he needs more freedom. The post-match discussion was spoilt by Roy Keane and his usual rants about making more effort. Izzy and Micah were doing their best to raise the tone, but they were fighting a losing battle.
  12. The premise of the question is who would flourish, so I don't think its right to choose people who did so despite playing for us in the Ashley area. Enrique, Jonas, Sissoko, Ayoze, Carroll and Cabaye did flourish for us, and bar Jonas all got big moves away from us due to how well they played. So far I think Townsend is the best shout.
  13. Wasn’t aware we bought Gordon as a right winger. Fair enough if so. Odd that we haven’t played him there more if that’s what we thought we were buying.
  14. Last player to thrive under Howe is pure hate speech ngl Cabaye is a lazy cunt and would struggle without a destroy ala Tiote.
  15. Was thinking Cabaye would have been a nice addition to our midfield options
  16. Today
  17. Sissoko was gonna be my shout as well. Fast, strong, athletic, direct. Loved the Pezzler but he's not strong enough for Howe. Jonas is a good shout on account of the stamina. Defensively Colo would've been a good fit too. If Carroll wasn't destined to be a crock then he'd have done extremely well under Howe as well I think.

All inclewsive tickets inclewding the chewb?
  19. Neville was right. That shit was pathetic. There has to be a point where it stops working that way...enter Mr Eddie Howe...anyone who thinks we should get rid of him, despite winning a cup, even if we lose on Monday needs their head checked and spread the cheeks with no lube ...IMHO
  20. Tomorrow is massive. It's an "expected" win, but we have to be professional and treat it with respect and do the job. Then a decent gap to Man U who looked bang average today and have a game on Thursday in between so great chance for another win.
  21. Next 3 games are massive, win them all and we're 4th, 1 point behind Forest assuming the teams above us all win too. All very winnable as well
  22. Could you not have returned it for a full refund and bought a new one from the shop ?
  23. 1-1 FT. Still on a knife edge, Juve have some easier games but Bologna and Lazio still to play away.
