  2. Where about to find out how flexible Eddie is prepared to be in the transfer market, if he handcuffs the club to targets with PL experience then we’ll be looking at 3 signings tops as we just don’t have the budget.
  3. I fear we may just have too many cooks in the transfer committee. its been a while since I’ve seen the Amazon documentary but I seem to recall Staveley having to really work on Solis / PIF to get them to authorise the Gordon signing.
  4. Based on the fact Pedro would probably come in as a 10, then I can see us maybe moving on to Kudus who could also offer the same versatility with a preference for operating in the middle. Hope so tbh.
  5. Or this: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/32823335/chelsea-escape-points-deduction-secret-payments-abrahmovich/ You can bet your bottom dollar if it was any of their other favourite 4 - Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd - they’d avoid it too. Us or City?
  6. That's how I read it as well.
  7. So Pedro has cost as much as Olise
  8. Chelsea's 'we don't really want them but you can't have them' model is really fucking annoying.
  9. I assume we’re trying to buy the players he wants, but we’re finding they’re unattainable for us, which was quite predictable given we’re going after other premier league clubs best players. If it’s a case of us going after the wrong players then surely he’s also responsible.
  10. He was another Adam Johnson as far as I'm concerned. Never wanted him part of the ranks who are all likable.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

If there's a positive to take out of this, we still have all our money at hand. It could mean if we shop abroad that we can sign 4-5 players instead of 3, and that would really boost our squad. Assuming our scouts have done their homework.
  12. We've acted with speed, we just went for the "wrong" players.
  13. All we have so far is tabloid talk, obviously there's no smoke without fire but we don't know for sure that we're aiming for premium PL talent. We've had a disappointing 2 years with zero transfers so yes we're all on edge, but we know we have money to spend, we just need to trust that we know what we're doing and we will get what we need/are looking for. Howe and his team have yet to let us down so until they do for me they get the benefit of the doubt and I won't be getting ansy or flapping about arbitory time lines.
  14. Chelsea are top of the psr, but their whole set up is shady af.
  15. Sorry but this bloke is currently being let down massively atm. He's delivered a trophy and CL football despite no major first team signings for multiple windows and there's nothing backing him up off the park. Last season was a hell of a struggle at times but the results came and created genuine momentum and excitement and that needed to be built upon but there's been nothing since. Trafford could be close but that deal has been in the pipeline for more than a year. Howe's more than doing his part, the players have delivered and they're all being let down as we speak off the park It's not good enough tbph. Match the stuff the players and management have done ffs. Get your shit in a pile and back this bloke up
  16. Not Ekitike as well It’s like they cash in their money in the bank on us
  17. Also easier to nail transfer negotiations when you do 3 a day. Practice makes perfect and all that jazz
  18. I agree. I am convinced our coaching would have made him world class and a star for Brazil. Anything less over the next 4 years and I think he has thrown his talent in the toilet, for a few quid more and a pad in the big city.
  19. And then when you do find a diamond in the dirt the media clubs together to engineer a move to said scummy six. It’s the fuckin pits man.
  20. How is there never any explanation about Man City and Chelsea? Or of how we aren't allowed to spend? It's all smoke and mirror bullshit and folk just networking their way around obstacles. Shite. This club world cup is a perfect example of it. Infantino cosying up to the Yanks ahead of next years world cup and all the super powers getting their teams on the supposed "big stage" whereas most football fans see this for what it is.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I thought that was why we hired Mitchell tbh.
  22. Fofana in midfield but you know Boehly and his horrible gang of fuckers will in on that like a tramp on a bag of chips (Spoiler - they are: https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-chelsea-to-strike-fallen-lyon-for-cheap-fofana-deal-cut-throat-update/)
  23. Nobody else really cares. Chelsea and Villa are spending lots of money. Losing lots of money year on year. And neither team will win the league.
