  1. I blame the lack of a winter break... No doubt that soundbite will get its annual airing by the pundits shortly.
  2. Jesus Dyer v Bowyer for your first match ffs. Even Villa stopped playing after this because they were simply stunned Flew to Lisbon that weekend, checked in at the hotel and went downstairs to the bar to get a drink. No idea what had happened and they had a tv behind the bar, walked up ordered a beer and the tv is showing our game, barman bursts out laughing as they show the fight, asks who I support and I just point at the tv shaking my head in embarrassment, "that lot". Bloke just gives me the beer free. True story.
  3. Never saw a 2-0 home win coming in a million miles. Amazing what a bit of graft and organisation does...
  4. Need to wait for the team to be announced but playing Cisse up top by himself and 5 at the back means we simply won't have the ball. Sweepstake on possession? I'll go 26%.

    Steve McClaren

still think if (when?) we get chinned tomorrow he'll be gone monday. I think it's just a matter of time now. This week or next.

Will need much more than that imo. I agree totally. Don't think it'll happen though.

Lose these next 2 and I think he'll be persuaded to go on a mutual consent jobbie. Changing the manager and hoping the players respond is a much cheaper alternative than throwing another £30m+ at the squad in January.
  8. http://www.punditarena.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/John-Carver.png Honestly man, it's a fucking circus.
  9. Until Ashley understands that the manager is the most important person at the club, thus worthy of the biggest investment, then we'll go down eventually - this year or next. He's blinded with making a profit from players, obtuse when it comes to understanding the game and too stubborn to change his model despite it failing miserably. This is the year, fat cunt. The squad's dead in the water - we're fucked.
  10. 6? maybe even 7 league wins in 2016?

Training ground rows and slanging matches is normally the beginning of the end. Month or 2 of inconsistent results and performances as the players will respond now and again but the end game has already started. Don't think McClaren's good enough to manage his way out of this mess tbh.
  13. Avoiding this like the plague. Not seen MotD for months now, man.

Got talking with one of the locals in a Dublin bar back in May. We got chatting about football, asked who I supported and gave him the 'face like a punched lasagne' line. Fucker nearly had a heart attack.

I think he'll come to a point in the season where we're so desperate that he'll at least try a CM of Anita, Tiote and Colback, put Sissoko and Wijnadum on the wings and go with Mitrovic up top and just fucking hoof it whilst getting bodies around Mitro for the flick-on's. Basically a 4-5-1 with a packed midfield to protect a creaking back 4. It's embarrassing how we're forced to compromise the midfield to try to protect the wank defence. Even then we can't do it properly.
  16. That's exactly what it is. The "can't compete, won't compete" mantra has been drummed into the fanbase from the very top. Owner, CEO, manager, coaches and players hammer the message so much that it's become an accepted fact. As unpalatable as it is to some on here, the people who still continue to pump millions into the club via tickets and/or merchandise are part of the larger problem. Willing to be treated like shit, patronised and taken for granted because they continue to come back every week, paying through the nose for the privilege too. Ashley's under no pressure whatsoever, he's taking the piss and getting away with it.
  17. Neville and Carragher will piss themselves tomorrow night when they crucify that defending.
  18. Hertha scum one up versus Hoffenheim.
  19. Seaham Red Star beat Maltby Main (Rotherham) 3-1 in the 2nd round of the FA Vase this afternoon. Went to it, was engaged in it and celebrated the last 2 goals more than I've celebrated Newcastle's goals for the last few years. Looking forward to the draw for the next round and may well attend it regardless of who we draw. The players at Seaham are pretty poor tbh but at least they give a shit and try their best. They care and therefore so do I.
  20. If I still gave a shit I'd be furious about today. As it happens I can't even summon up the energy to even get mildly irritated any longer, the losses blend into one, resigned shoulder shrug. It was exactly the same after the win at Bournemouth too ftr. They're not worth getting annoyed about any more, what happens will happen and I'll start to get enthused again once the cunt who owns us moves on. The club's in a coma and I'll visit every now and again but ultimately I'm waiting for it to wake again, could be another decade or so imo.

Same type of guff he came out with the week leading up to the Derby debacle iirc.
  22. Is that a compliment? He's scared of Sam's knowledge of PowerPoint? I messed with his quote. I've edited it to what he actually said. Ah right. The horrible cunt comes out with so much shite that it's exactly the type of thing he'd say.
