  1. No one will buy at the price he'd ask now anyway. I think he's looking for a way out, but it wont be for another year or two until he's paid the debt down. I wouldn't be surprised if he's ring fenced the extra cash we'll receive in prize money this year and it will be used to take a huge chunk out of the loans.
  2. That's the worst part of this saga. The fuck does Big Vurn have to do to get a game?

  5. It's to show they're fucking rock hard innit?
  6. I thought it was meant to go on land near the Metro station?
  7. The Mirror are saying we've "registered our interest" in Willian.
  8. It's Chateau De Pez. Red wine. Clearly John Smiths in a wine glass.
  9. You just know he's talking to that pint like John Truckosaurus talks to cars.
  10. Is this an old photo? I've just seen it posted to Twitter tonight. Certainly looks like JFK.
  11. It's a lot for a man who doesn't like losing money. He only put £30m in because he had to.
  12. Rangers are hemorrhaging money, £1m a month the last I heard. It's not the type of deal Ashley would do at the minute. I've probably mentioned it before, but I've got a theory (and it's only a theory) that Ashley will be looking to flog us within the next two to three years. The cost cutting that the club is undergoing is pretty drastic now, with even more fat being trimmed off this summer. He's also began to pay down the debt, £11m in the last set of financial results, and with him unwilling to invest in the club any further in addition to the larger prize money (despite the fact he's better off now than when he bought us), he could take an even bigger chunk out of that over the next few years...providing we don't go down. He doesn't need Newcastle United to advertise Sports Direct anymore because he's seen off all the competition in that particular sector. SD particularly owns the sporting goods market in the UK and they've even began to make inroads in Europe. If anything we're probably a burden, because one bad year and he could find himself having to shell out vast sums while we try to navigate our way out of the Championship again. Rangers, only once they've returned to the SPL, would be a much safer bet financially. I might be wrong mind, but I think if he had any long term interest in us he wouldn't be that concerned with streamlining the club even further when we're in pretty rude health and taking money out to pay off the loans. Llambias' comments always suggested he'd sell if the right offer came in, but now I think he's going hunting for that offer. Doesn't mean I believe this tale mind.
  13. Sessegnon is off to Qatar. There three best players from last season are no longer at the club.
  14. Some anti-fascists on Twitter are going off it because A Love Supreme have signed up to be part of a counterdemo to the EDL while flogging t-shirts like this... http://www.alsshop.co.uk/images/large/revolution_LRG.jpg Martyn McFadden's such a spenk.
  15. That's basically how I feel. The actual results are secondary because I'm so meh about us at the minute, I'm just glad I can get out of the house at weekends.
  16. There today. Same problems with the final ball. Sammy and Dummet look like they could be really useful after going out on loan. And we scored from a fucking corner!
  17. After the Bordeaux game last season we went to the casino and my mate, who was mortal, tried to get in with his season ticket. So aye, probably.
  18. I didn't want to go, but wor kid is desperate for some reason so he's buying me my ticket
  19. I was lucky enough to see both in the flesh and I've always thought the Blackburn goal was the more impressive of the two.
  20. Pardew wont drop Tiote or Jonas or go back to 433, so we're stuck with this.
  21. The Wonga Propaganda pack arrived.
