  1. They had two decent defenders, thats all. They were shite, and beatable by almost everyone last season, a nothing team, at least we had some key players.
  2. All he's done is swap problems about, its probably better problems than what we had before, but wasting £6m on Smith, amongst bringing players far too late and unfit has again not helped. But at least the problem have narrowed slightly, i just think he could of done a better job with what he's got so far. Far too negative, for too boring, far too fuked up in terms of formation and leaving Martins out of the team for a has been crock on far too much money.
  3. Smith wasn't signed as a creative player. He was signed as a utility player and a cover for the forwards. People continuing to blame one signing for our malaise are missing the big picture. Sam needs to be braver and start the proper left back for a change. Did we need that? Because it certainly hasn't worked so far. More bookings than good performances, certainly goals and/or assists. £6m wasted. I'd have rather we spent £3m on a striker, and £3m on an attacking mid instead of £6m on neither. In hindsight I agree with you and at the time we needed at least one more attakcing player I agree. BUT Smith is a good player and I still believe he will come good in important games...You can't blame him for being started in unbalanced formations and in strange roles. Strange roles is all he's ever played in since he doesn't have any real stand out attributes, he should be used to it. You are either versatile and that is your strength, or you are not a very good player, which one is he? Sam isn't doing the business, i agree on that, he's doing more damage on field than i ever thought he do, unimpressed so far, he could be doing a much better job.
  4. It hasn't helped. And again i pointed this out when the dealings were happening, and again got lampooned by the usual thought police on here for being too impatient. Enrique has to start games, there is no excuse anymore, the fuker should be fit enough, he's a pro for god sake not some cunt off the street.

  6. Its exactly what he is, and i said it from the start, he has no real position, isn't good enough as a striker, and isn't strong enough as a central mid and got lampooned from the usual thought police on here. Love to see them defending him now.
  7. Smith was a bad signing, i said it then, i was gutted we were linked to such a average player for such a high fee, am devastated that i was right. We need more creative mids, and we need to settle in a formation, 442.
  8. Citeh have a much better team in every department. Sven has done a cracking job, SA played it far too safe. Boring football throughout the club. Nice.
  9. For all the talk and off field activities SA had given since coming here, nothing much has changed has it? Were still losing far too many games, still picking up too many injuries, we've still got a small squad, we've still got gaping holes on the park and were still looking toothless in attack. Only now we've got a manager hell bent on bringing in a formation no one wants, i'm seriously not impressed with SA on the field so far, and that for me is where it counts. A full season of this shit? We need to buy desperately in Jan.
  10. Hmmm, i think i've been stitched up like a kipper. Coincidence i have my son from 1pm onwards today? Fuking bitch. Serves me right for staying in bed all day yesterday.
  11. "It didn't take a genius to work out what was needed at Newcastle and Sam is clearly the right man" Sly dig at Freddy Shepherds best work at the club? Most of it is spot on.
  12. Manu losing 2-0 at home to Coventry? I cannot believe it.
  13. He's a fat cunt who been worryingly short of form for a while. Will it end up like Paddy K & Ronaldo for this fellow? Hope not, maybe a move would do him good, but surely its a step down and a pay day. If he cant be arsed to play at his best for Barca, then Chelsea are going to get ripped off like they've never been ripped before.
  14. So it ranges from shite to "fine". You couldn't quite bring yourself to say good, could you. "It's often shite, and it's sometimes..........alright....ish." Your sole purpose in this thread seems to be to remind everybody how shite Martins is, despite the fact you couldn't provide a better alternative to start when Owen's not fit (which is quite a lot of the time tbf). I don't know why Martins is coming in for so much stick on a night we could have lost by eight. We were outplayed and unless Martins was alone playing in a 0-0-1 formation, I don't see why he is getting so much stick. It's not my fault that he's third choice striker at the club, is it? If he carries on missing open goals, I'd start Smith ahead of him up front though, but at present I'm assuming Smith is starting in midfield. How far do you have to go back for Smith to tally 17 goals in a season? In fact fuk that, lets just go back to 17 competitive goals ago. It would probably see Leeds back in the Champions League! Against Portsmouth 08/11/2003. So as far back as Leeds then? I wonder how many bookings he's picked up in the same time? done a quick search on soccerbase, something like 26/27 bookings in the same period! I thought it would of been double that, calming down in his old age i see.
  15. happy we've got him to fill in,delighted is far too strong a word. Maybe so, its just if i can choose one of them to be off in the window, it wouldn't be the one who's fit 90% of the season.

  17. ---------------Given Beye--Rozy--Taylor--Enrique Milner--Geremi--Butt--Zoggy --------Viduka---Martins----- A draw would certainly be a good result.

If spackajack keeps missing open goals, he deserves to be dropped, which would mean going with Smith up front. I've said though that presently Martins starts by default. I'm not happy about it though cos I can see how average he is. Spackajack

  20. I disagree, he really looked like the only player that can actually create something without the need to punch or kick other teams players. He's been poor in the last 2-3 games. But not this whole season. Nope, not the whole season.

  22. We'd be fuked if Martins picks up a lengthy injury right now.
  23. By the way, I doubt you'd be being anywhere near as charitable if it was injury-prone-England-loving Michael Owen that had just missed his second open goal in a matter of days. He fucking rolled it towards the goal tonight when he should have put his boot through it, and he put his boot through it on Sunday when all he needed to do was roll it in. He'd have to be fit enough 1st for that, which is a near miracle so i couldn't possibly comment. So Owen is the most to blame cos he wasn't even fit to miss an open goal, the little England loving shit. I wouldn't know, i can't comment on player who missed the best part of two seasons, sorry.
