  1. More than not been a staple of Pardews Newcastle reign. Beyond a joke, hire an attacking coach FFs and sack off stone.
  2. First game was villa at home in 97. Beresford scored a cracker after batty got sent off. I grew up on the south coast so this game was a long time coming. Went to the training ground and watched, spoke to John Barnes who had just signed. Scary times. Truly sad, if not understandable that they closed training off to the public. It was a big part of what made this club special to fans, especially those that couldn't afford tickets.
  3. Was just thinking this. Think the back would be a bit too exposed but for home games against sides we can take a game too it might be interesting. He had a belting game today and showcased exactly why he should be in our starting line up more often. He offers something completely different in his skill and technique..somewhere inbetween Cabaye and Ben Arfa. He can certainly go missing at times though. As far as Pardew, it seems with age comes negative tactics. He used to be all for all out, free flowing attack at West Ham, Reading and Charlton. We are almost always negative in possession or clueless when it comes to the final third. Its a dangerous gamble, but Pardew seems to truly believe sitting back and nicking a goal is a genuinely realistic tactic. It has come at a real mixed set of results and performances that do nothing for fans, arguably on this seasons form also little for the team. We have the players to give any game a go, but I don't see us going all out with Pardew in charge. While there is a safe option, Marveaux will likely be resigned to sitting on the bench. If there is however one silver lining, Marveaux has definitely improved his defensive side and tracks back more.

If his agent has any sense he would move him out to the MLS. He can live the gangster life in all his glory there.
  5. Won't be as much of a problem if we start him on the left. Plays ten times better there, despite Pardews clueless deduction that he is not a left winger and plays much better on the right. Will be more than happy to see the back of him If we bring a decent winger in to replace him. A ton if potential with Obertan that will never get realized due to a combination of his lack of confidence ad ability to engage his brain to make the right and often much easier decisions when he is on pitch.
  6. Got lots of love from cabs after the final whistle.
  7. Cabaye whipped a corner in with some pace in the first half and every f***er just stood there. I think they were in shock. Shame as it was begging to be attacked. I think Sissoko suffered from a lack of space in the middle. Still mighty impressive the amount of times he'd just run into a pile of Stoke bodies and emerge with the ball, but his passing was wayward. The main source of frustration with Sissoko was the amount of awesomeness he displayed only to be let down by his final ball. Hardly anything major to complain about he showed true class throughout the game, just didn't work for him today. Bigger worries with our corners and inability of our coaching Staff to realist floating balls into the stoke box was never going to trouble them. Should have known that before the game let alone after 90 mins of doing it. We defaulted to play it safe hit and hope. I can see logic in not wanting to over commit and play it through on the ground but we were at home. We should be mixing it up rather than one or the other. We play far too negatively and safe for my liking. Hopefully with a finally fit Ben Arfa we could change.
  8. Thoroughly frustrating performance. When we get given a corner we might aswell tell the ref to give a goal kick. Floating it in didn't work the first time or the 15th. Sissoko was irritatingly inconsistent and has been taking final ball lessons from Tiote. Hopefully an off day, lots of work to do to improve further. We didn't even put Cisse in the game until the end again he was more interested in getting involved when he shouldn't and lunging late into tackles. Poor game for Santon and Haidara did well when he came on.
  9. Obviously fine after the game, took a sledge hammer to his back at home. Hopefully not the last we have seen of the legend in a Newcastle top.
  10. Need a goal. Don't fancy us getting a clean sheet at home, not at all.

Should be a good year for Canadian teams. Once the team settles Vancouver will be sharp. Good ethos at the club, a lot of quick, strong, creative players. Think they will push for play offs again and hopefully get further than last year. TFC are in yet another rebuilding stage but have stopped bringing in big names on long contracts, instead only handing out short term contracts and making people earn their extension. Think Ryan Nelson will pick up the momentum they had under Carver. Montreal are also looking to push on this year, outside bet for the playoffs but should make the Canadian fun this year.

Belting, saw the rumor funny it actually happened saviola must have fallen through. Piquionne to Portland and Earnshaw to TFC. Still players in their twilight years but a few more players giving it a go.

Absolutely gutted we have given this waste of skin money to leave our club. If we paid him out his contract I will be fucking livid.
  14. God those two mcarthy videos... They have aged to become even more piss your pants funnier. As for Rafa surely gone in the morning.

  16. This, shitting myself watching him getting himself into deeper trouble then complete hysterics watching him get out of it. Crazy but class.
  17. Ben Arfa back to play on the other side of Cisse. Pure football porn.
  18. Quoted for shock factor. Save as sig.
  19. Hardly surprising, with sissoko he can now concentrate on doing had he does best rather than trying to shape himself into a box to box player that he can never be.
  20. What a player this guy is. Works so hard. Was naturally a bit in and out of the game when faced against clyne who looked possibly quicker. Class still shone through. Club legend in the making.
  21. New hairstyle, (new players) new man.
  22. Best game so far. Looked solid all round, great commitment to the cause to top off his obvious class.
  23. So you wouldn't have played the others that started today that looked worse on Thursday?
