shouldnt matter after today. Owen and Viduka will both miss the next few games. Its a big test for Big Sam and its early days at the moment. It will be hard to keep everyone happy, thats what you need to have in the squad, but I can see with where the club is at the moment that people would be upset being on the bench, it would be less of a problem if they were playing at chelsea or manure. Sell Emre if we replace him with a quality creative midfielder. Personally I think Emre can flourish in our team, but ive he fancies running away back home good luck to him, we can replace him with better.

Personally delighted we have signed him, he has been one of Boltons best players over the past couple of years, he knows Allardyce and his methods inside out, as Sam knows him. A midfield dominator has been on quite a few peoples lists this close season, albeit quite far down the priorities. Whilst he isnt an Appiah or even a Diarra, he has the advantage of his history in the premiership and with Allardyce. Nicky Butt is a battler, but is lacking in height and physical presence. We have decent strength in depth now, I fail to see why anyone could be unhappy with Faye, especially at that price in todays inflated market.

Lets just start off imagining he is shit regardless, that way at least we wont build him up before we rip him apart, when he isnt deco after a couple of games.

Sams not messing around. In fairness its probably a decent move, although surely it would have been better to loan him out, if only for getting a great fee for him at the end of the season. We would only end up selling him at some point further down the line, he isnt likely to breathrough here over the next few years, would more than likely get upset not getting a spot on the bench and demand a transfer. How Pattison remains is another matter though.

We have added some much needed height to our squad with Beye, Enrique, Faye, Roz. Not convinced Faye is better than Butt, but will be a greater asset in certain games. Probably would have prefered Diop to Faye, but obviously Sam knows Faye inside out, so I trust the call. Plus Faye has been getting better and better with Diop the opposite.

Loss for the squad, thanks for some great memories, although why he couldnt wait a year is still a little beyond me. The kids live with his ex wife so he only gets a certain amount of access. As far as how this affects us as a team, its minimal, we are on Right Winger down. He possibly wouldnt even make the bench the majority of games this year. Whilst he is good crack for the dressing room which will be a loss, but he is well past his best. From all accounts Cacapa will fill the dressingroom void. Solano's days were numbered the minute Geremi walked in. The only worry I have is our lack of cover for the RW, but we are likely to be playing 4-3-3 alot so we are reasonably covered. Milner, Geremi and Smith will be decent enough until then. Anyways enough un called for bitching, he will always be a toon legend and welcomed back here with open arms.
